Busy through the day, starting from its opening, at 5am, devotees throng till late evenings, barring afternoons- 2to 4 pm. Enter the temple: Sanctum sanctorum houses Mahakali Ammavaru riding a lion, occupying the centre, flocked by her sister- goddesses, all just beautiful. The shri chakram& the Maha Meru in front of them, enhance the powers. Kumkuma poojas are continuously offered to the latter by well qualified & devoted priests. Spiritual powers are added due to the presence of shiva lingam near them. A neem tree in front of the Sannidhi inside the hall has miraculous powers, so people tie sarees around it as neem tree is considered to be the abode of Mathaji/Ammavaru. A small Sannidhi of Sheetala Matha ji faces the main sanctum sanctorum. Enroute to the temple's office & the Mirror Mandapam or the sheesh mahal& the places where homas/havans are held, we see many roopas of mathajis to whom poojas are conducted on different ocassions. 200 metres inside the same temple complex, we come to the Shiva Parivar temple & the Goshala, maintained by the Temple Admin. Sarees offered to Mathajis are sold at reasonable prices. So too are prashadam. Pradakshina of the sanctum sanctorum increases concentration & offers an opportunity to mingle our souls with that of the Divine. A meaningful Archway has beautiful sculptures of Various forms of Ammavaru. Security is notable as the Main police station complex is located adjacently. Hi! I visited Shri Ujjaini Mahakali Devasthanam in Secunderabad on 17-05-2025 with my friend, right after visiting the nearby Sri Ganesh Temple.
I usually come here during the Telangana Bonalu Festival, when the temple is filled with devotees and vibrant energy, though the crowd is extremely heavy during that time. This was my friend's first visit, and I was happy to show him such a divine and spiritual place.
Amma (Mahakali Mata) here is considered one of the most powerful goddesses in the Twin Cities (Hyderabad & Secunderabad). The temple has a deep spiritual vibe, and you can truly feel the energy as you enter.
