I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Jhalana Leopard Safari in Jaipur, and I can confidently say that it was an unforgettable adventure. Here's a detailed review of my incredible experience:
Booking and Logistics Booking the safari was a breeze, thanks to their user-friendly online platform. The process was smooth, and the instructions provided were clear. On the day of the safari, the meeting point in Malviya Nagar was easy to find, and the staff were punctual and organized.
Knowledgeable Guides Our safari guide was a true expert in the local wildlife. They provided us with a wealth of information about the region's flora and fauna, making the experience both educational and exciting. Their passion for conservation was evident throughout the tour.
Wildlife Sighting The highlight, of course, was the chance to spot leopards in their natural habitat. Jhalana is home to a significant population of leopards, and I was fortunate enough to witness several of these majestic cats. The thrill of seeing these elusive creatures up close is beyond words. Besides leopards, we also saw various other wildlife species, including blue bulls, peacocks, and numerous bird species.
Photography Opportunities For photography enthusiasts, this safari is a dream come true. The open gypsy vehicles provided excellent vantage points for capturing stunning shots of the wildlife. Just be sure to bring your camera or smartphone fully charged, as you won't want to miss any photo opportunities.
Safety and Comfort Safety is a top priority here. The safari vehicles are well-maintained, and the drivers are skilled and cautious. They provide ample safety instructions to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience. Additionally, the open vehicles allow for a more immersive and thrilling safari adventure.
Overall Experience In conclusion, Jhalana Leopard Safari in Malviya Nagar, Jaipur, is a must-visit for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. It offers an exceptional opportunity to connect with nature, witness magnificent leopards, and support vital conservation efforts. Read moreThe most amazing experience of my Jaipur trip, Jhalana leopard safari.
We reached the safari early morning at 6.00 am, and started the safari by 6.40am. The waiting area has information of all the lepords and mind blowing images of these lepords.
We kicked off the safari by sighting the national bird and several antelopes.
The first lepord we sighted was Flori and she was with her 6 months old cub Sangram. They were enjoying the antelope killed by Flori in the night. Amazingly she also marked her area after eating so that other lepords do not come near.
Later they went to sleep, however we could still see sangram playing and roaming.
The next sighting was of RANA the hero of the Jhalan. He is supposed to be the most Dabang lepord of the safari. He was magnificent and huge. For the lack of better camara we could not capture his might.
If you are going insuggest taking a digital camara with good zoom or atlease a binoculars with good power.
We were luck to meet Aishwarya Sridhar maam she has been working on lepords for a long time. We came to know of her work being captured in a documentary Dynasty of lepords, rise of Rana.
The gypsy drivers do drive fast to go to sighting place so that we don't miss, however you need to hold the gypsy tightly.
In the morning wether was also amazing to view. However the guide suggested to visit in afternoon as Lepords are nocturnal and sleep during morning so it's difficult to sight one in the morning.
We also noted some avifauna.
There are several colors of Bogenvilla, red pink, yellow, orange and even white.
Wish you visit and have an...

The place is very small, hardly some 10-15 km ride. I don't know if the reviews are purchased or real, but i visited the park on 16th november during evening safari. First of , agents run a very big scam. Beware, the price per person is 784/- don't pay a penny more, no matter what they say. (Even paying 784/- was a waste).
Next make sure u get an authentic guide. We were given someone local who used to run e-rickshaw as our driver-cum-guide for the safari. He neither knew the animals, nor the place or the routes.
We thought due to a fake guide-cum-driver we did not see any animal. But later we came to know that no one saw any animals, ANY ANIMALS, Not even monkeys. At the end we came across a few nilgai dat too outside the national park borders.
Later on enquiring with locals, they said there are no animals over there. All these are scams. Its better to go to ranthambore or some other safari.
Overall, on visiting, my personal recommendation will be a big no. Dont waste ur time, energy and money for this place. Its very small and every once in a while u will see buildings and traffic, so forget about the peace and calm of forest. No animals seen. I understand its not possible to have a sighting of leopard always, but some animals should be visible at least deers, nilgais, few birds, monkeys. Here, none could be seen. Its better to visit Ranthambhore, sariska and other safaris. Don't visit here, go a...
