One of the most unforgettable moments during my Gulmarg trip was reaching the mountain edges near the top of Apharwat Peak. As I walked past the last gondola point, the terrain slowly turned into wide, open ridges — and then suddenly, there it was: a steep drop with a stunning valley view below.
The edge felt like the end of the world — mist rising from the slopes, icy winds brushing my face, and silence all around. I could see the deep valley stretching into the distance, dotted with forests, and the horizon lined with distant Himalayan peaks.
