This is a spot situated near Savandurga which has you walk/climb around the monolith rather than on it. Excellent trek for your kids/ beginner friends to get into trekking. It's not too exhausting and can be done by someone below average in fitness with enough breaks.

This is a easy trek over low hills and through rocks. There are old fortifications and stone structures from Kempegowda era. You get excellent view of Savandurga Hill and nearby grasslands. You can spot the Flag near the Nandi at the top of Savandurga which really puts into perspective how much harder the climb up there is.
