Really nice place which is not well known to many. Must visit if you are traveling on this part of the highway. Just ensure kids are constantly attended as there are no safety gates of signs.

The Unknown and Tranquil Gayatri Dam is about 174km from Bengaluru, 207km from Mysuru, located in Gayatripura. There is muddy road from the main thar road that leads all the way to the dam. The water falling from the dam is a treat to watch. The dam is filled by the rain water. One can walk on the bund and ride the vehicles on top. Ideal place for Swimming, Fishing and playing in water. It's near by Hiriyuru.. from hiriyuru towards Shira road.. near Javagondanahalli you have to take right turn. If you're coming from Shira road near Javagondanahalli you have to take left turn. Easily accessible by Mari kanive with short cut road without...
