Glass House Garden at Davanagere is one of the best places to visit for a relaxation and get a glimpse of some of world famous rare plants. There are rides for the kids and many photo taking spots for the youths as well as family members. This also serves as a nice place to hangout with friends. Adequate neatly maintained walk paths. Detailed sign boards by Horticulture Departments explaining the scientific details of the plants - carefully sourced from different parts of the world. I liked the entire setup and Recommend it as must visit picnic cum tourist spot for those visiting Davanagere. The glass House is a huge area and gives a magnificent views. A little more care to be taken to make inside area of Glass House clean and attractive. The entrance fee of ₹20 per adult person is nominal. No charges...

The place is beautiful, though a little overlooked at maintaining it. The garden is pretty well maintained, but the glass house could've been beautified even better. There's nothing much to see inside the glass house except for its design. Only few plants are bein kept inside the glass house as a decoration.
The glass house's surrounding area is pretty. Having various trees, plants, flowers being imported from other parts of the country.
It is a gated area, not sure if this can be called a picnic spot, to sit and have fun, lunch etc. But there were many dustbins placed at every corner. Since there are plants and flowers people will tend to pluck and spoil them.
Also, there is krishi seva within this complex wherein one/farmers can give their soil...

There is an entry cost for visitors visting the Glass House ( INR 20 / Head). However its free for children below 10 yrs of age.
They allow for wedding photography etc.. however the cost is around 10K to 15 K.
The Department of Horticulture organizes the annual Flower show at the Glass House. The are several types of trees planted at the parks around the glass house and are being maintained. However felt the maintenance was a bit low.
There is a play area for Kids ( Slides / See - Saw / Swings etc..) and one side of the glass house faces the lake (Kundvarakere Lake). During September to November you can see a lot of migratory birds...
