HmmA beach is one of the most serene and inviting places on Earth, offering a unique combination of natural beauty and tranquility. It has the power to captivate the senses with its picturesque landscapes, rhythmic waves, and refreshing breeze. Whether you are drawn to the beach for relaxation, adventure, or inspiration, it provides a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This essay explores the physical beauty of beaches, the emotional connection they foster, and the diverse activities they offer to visitors.
The allure of a beach lies primarily in its natural beauty. The golden sands stretch out into the horizon, meeting the sky at the edge of the sea. The gentle lapping of waves provides a soothing soundtrack to the environment, and the ocean’s color varies throughout the day, from a vibrant blue under the midday sun to a soft pink and purple during sunset. A beach can be an ever-changing landscape, shifting with the tides and seasons, creating new patterns in the sand and offering different experiences each time.
The sound of the ocean waves crashing gently against the shore is perhaps one of the most calming aspects of the beach. The repetitive nature of the waves has a meditative effect, often described as therapeutic by those who visit. In addition to the sounds, the smells of the beach—a mixture of saltwater, seaweed, and warm sand—provide a sensory experience that can instantly transport someone to a place of peace and reflection. The combination of these natural elements offers a form of sensory healing, making the beach an ideal location for relaxation and mindfulness.
Beyond its sensory appeal, the beach serves as a place of emotional and spiritual renewal. Many people find solace in the vastness...
Read moreWe went to the Kali River Garden 🏡 to spend our evening near backwaters and enjoy Sunset. The garden is next to Kali river which runs 184 kilometers before joining the Arabian Sea ⛵. We reached around 1830h (around 30 mins before sunset) and parked our car outside the gate.
Parking Facility 🚗
We went on a weekday and the place was not very crowded, so we got parking easily. But on a weekend, parking may become an issue as there are only 15-16 slots for parking.
Tickets 🎟️
The counter was empty when we reached and the ticket cost us Rs 30 which is reasonable.
Facilities 🏕️
The garden has mesmerizing view of Kali River, Bridge and surrounding islands. There is small play area near entrance for kids. There are four tents rigged up on one side. One small cafe 🌮 "Bell Pepper" is there on the river end which serves snacks and beverages. Boats 🚣 are provided for leisure rides.
Photography 📸
There are many spots provided in the garden for photography like river side walkways, lighted "Incredible India" and "I ❤️Karwar" and some rock entrances.
Recommendation
The place is not big but good for hanging out with family and friends. As outside food is not allowed, you can't have a picnic there. Try to go on weekdays and during sunset 🌆 time. If you are planning for a water ride, dress appropriately. The food in the cafe is very decent. Utilise the time for capturing good photos...
Read moreThis nice little garden has an amazing view. It's not a conventional garden i.e. it does not have trees and lots of plants. It's an open space next to the water front, which has a kids play area to the left and a small open ground to the right which can be rented for events and parties. The have a small parking area. Entry is free and is wheelchair friendly. They also have benches near the water front where you can sit and enjoy the view. The view - wide expanse of the Kali River flanked by the Kali River bridge on the left and Misty Mountains of the Western ghats to the right. You can get lost in the beauty of the view, especially at sunrise and sunset. They also have boat rides which are reasonably priced, they also provide safety gear for boat rides. Things I did not like, the water front is 5-7ft above the river bank but does not have a railing, which is a safety hazard. So you need to take special care when walking there. Overall, if you can watch your step and don't mind a bit of the jimmer jammer of the crowd, then this is the best place to relax in Karwar. (*The entry is no longer free - there is a RS 5.00...
