Kshitija Nesara Dhama, Byndoor — Attraction in Karnataka

Kshitija Nesara Dhama is located in the Ottinene of Byndoor taluk in Udupi district,Karnataka. The place nestled amidst lush tropical foliage of palms and coconut looks onto the open ocean which seems to meet the sky in a seamless horizon. The Dhama, located on top of a small hill, provides for an unmatched panoramic view of the Arabian Sea. The Dhama is currently managed by the Department of Forests, which has set up a few rooms as well as an eatery for the travellers visiting this place.The forest department also has a couple of cottages for stay and costs in the range of ₹1,000 to 2,000. There's a small park also in the area for kids to play.There's parking space available and it costs ₹10 per person for entry and a receipt/ticket is given. There's a toilet also at the entrance. There are 2 ways to reach this place: A few mins from someshwara beach road through forest area and climb up around 100-150 steps and little hike nestled amidst lush greeneries.Since this is backside of guest house there are no entry fees collected. The other one is from the main road towards Murudeshwara after byndoor and slightly left towards the temple - around 5-6 KMs from the byndoor.This is the actual entrance...

Provides a good panaromc view of byndoor river mouth !! But needs to be improved to attract many tourists and visitors. Also no basic amenities are there inside premises and forest dept office exists on premises is almost no use.

Actually there are 2 ways to reach this place: 1. Few mins from someshwara beach road through forest area and climb up around 100-150 straps and little hike, Other one is from main road towards Murdeshwara after byndoor and slight left towards temple - around 5-6 KMs from byndoor.

Almost no sign boards are placed on highway and around byndoor town , most of people doesn't come here. Good thing is road towards this provides good landscape view and you can witness peacocks and peahens.

During last visit some fellow visitors claimed that they witnessed a full grown tiger while entering this park - Forest dept needs to comb around this area to make sure...
