A Natural Oasis in the Heart of Mysuru: Lingambudhi Park
Lingambudhi Park is a hidden gem located on the north-eastern side of Lingambudhi Lake in Mysuru. Offering a tranquil environment that is perfect for nature lovers and bird watchers alike.
There are multiple entry & exit points to this lake, the main entry is from the northern part of the lake, and end if you take a straight left from Vivekananda Circle
The sprawling expanse of the park invites visitors to take a leisurely stroll, which takes at least half an hour to complete.
It's a place where one can truly appreciate the beauty of nature in its most unadulterated form.
For bird enthusiasts, Lingambudhi Park is nothing short of paradise. The thick foliage along the walkways is home to a variety of birds, including hornbills, peacocks, minivets, and the vibrant blue-cheeked bee-eaters.
The park's commitment to preserving its natural state provides a safe haven for these species, making it an ideal spot for bird-watching. It also houses a navagraha park & medicinal Bonsai Gardens
Unfortunately not maintained well, the navagraha plants have dried up and nothing much to see,
uncaring timings of 9-5 pm a tiring watch for tourist
has a moderate Play area for kids which doesn't have time restrictions
The park's maintenance and the natural paths ensure a comfortable visit, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of nature without any hindrance.
Needs a lot of effort to complete the construction, with many projects & play areas still left unfinished
it is a one-time visit
thanks to the abundance parking areas reducing the...
Read moreLingambudhi park is a one of its kind park in Mysore. You have a large sprawling lake on one side of the park which houses a large variety of local and migratory birds. The thick green coverage within Lingambudhi park is phenomenal. Your morning walks here are accompanied by the pleasant chirping of birds, the calls of peacock and peahen etc. There are basic gym equipments for the adult public to use as well as covered shelters and benches for people to sit, relax, chat with their friends. You also have RO drinking water inside if you ever feel thirsty. There is a butterfly and rose garden as well adjacent to Lingambudhi park. One complete round comes to around 1.35 kms and would need around 15 minutes for an average, healthy middle aged person. The walkways are wide enough for multiple people to walk side by side as well. In the morning time you get to see health juices being sold near the entrance along with fresh vegetables. The children too are not left out here, there are many entertaining games like slide, swings, rope walking, sand pits etc where they can spend time happily. Strongly recommend this place. The entrance to this park is from Ramakrishna Nagar H block 4th cross...
