My visit to the Nisargadama Tourist Center in Coorg was a delightful experience immersed in nature's tranquility. Nestled amidst lush greenery and bordered by the serene Cauvery River, this tourist center offers a refreshing escape from the city.

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the picturesque bamboo forest, which provided a serene setting for leisurely strolls and peaceful moments of introspection. Walking through the towering bamboo groves was a truly enchanting experience, making me feel closer to nature.

The center also offers various recreational activities such as boating, elephant rides, and fishing, providing entertainment for visitors of all ages. Kaveri Nisargadhama

A forest resort on an island, maintained by the forest department of Karnataka, Kaveri Nisargadhama Forest Park is undeniably one of the most beautiful and enjoyable part of any Coorg.

Formed by the main river of the region, River Kaveri, it is surrounded by dense forest. A popular weekend getaway in itself, it is situated quite close to Kushalnagar, with just 3 km of distance between them. Established in 1989, it has been attracting tourists since decades now. Spread over an area of 64 acres, it presents an alluring natural setting where tourists can admire the sight of River Kaveri flowing gloriously through the dense forest, hear birds chirping, look the star-studded clear sky in night and wake up with soft rays on sun in morning. It presents an excellent opportunity for tourists to have a close interaction with nature. Visitors can enter the reserve through the new hanging bridge, which is not to be confused with the old hanging bridge which is no more functional. When at Nisargadhama Forest, you will find a wide variety of things to do and see. There is also a deer park and rabbit park that one can visit. The view of River Kaveri is also something that tourist must stop by and notice, capture in their cameras, and cherish forever. The view, especially from the hanging bridge is breathtaking. The water in the river here is quite shallow. Hence, if interested tourists can even cross the river on foot, letting its cold fresh water refresh them. Nisargadama Tourist Center is located in Kushalnagar, Coorg. Kids will love this place. Highly recommend for family. After purchasing the entry tickets, we are entering Nisargadama through a beautiful rope bridge. Hanging bridge is a wonderful experience which adds beauty to the place.

Overall Nisargadama is very silent, scenic and photogenic place. There is a beautiful bamboo park, a small deer park and a lovely bird park. Boating in Cauvery river is awesome. For those who love adventure, there is an adventure park containing zip line.

The eco park is very calm and bamboo forest is very photogenic. In the bird park, different varieties of birds are there. Free bird feeding is possible and we can take pictures while feeding them. There is also provision to feed Ostrich and we can take photographs. It is paid service.

There are number of tree houses, zip line adventures, etc. Restaurant is there inside the park.

Outside the entrance, there are so many shops available for shopping. Home made wines, chocolates etc are there. They might provide good discounts as well.

Overall it is a really nice experience and must visit place when planning your trip to Coorg(Kushalnagar).
