Sadhanakeri Garden — Attraction in Karnataka

When I asked about the places to see in Dharwad, my friend who stays in Dharwad suggested this park.. Basically I hate visiting parks, but finally agreed to my friends request to accompany them. After reaching Dharwad (half an hour from Hubli), we took a local bus to Sadhankeri, and we come to to know that the last stop of that bus is our destination.

Park is maintained good. I appreciated the cleanliness they have maintained there and also liked the signboard which reads " Rs 100 punishment for plucking fruits from trees", And because of that, we can see numerous mango and other fruits along the path.

Canteen is also available inside the park.

Sadhankeri Park is situated in the heart of the Dharwad City. The environment of this garden is very cool and calm because of Lake, good greenary and mango trees plantation. Pleasant place, beautiful garden ,Play area and great to take morning walk. There are some artistic statues you find everywhere that add joy to your short stay. One small lake is there adjacent to garden, where boating can be enjoyed with dear ones. Indeed a good place for outing with family and friends. Garden is open 10am to 8pm. Musical fountain show is additional attraction only on Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 7.30 to 8.00 pm. Nice place to spend some good times with kids they can enjoy rides and swings . It is filled with a huge amount of trees and hence provides fresh air. It is a good place for having a morning walk, exercise and yoga. The water is clearly polluted. Earlier there was provision for boating but now due to the bad maintenance the water isn't fit for boating. Only people who visit this place in the evening are couples who usually have their faces covered. This is because it is kind of covered by trees and rarely people notice you. There is a musical fountain program which used to take place every evening of Saturday. Children can go and play around with their friends.
