I recently had the chance to visit Samse Sri Ganapathi Temple and the nearby Samse Tea Estate, and it turned out to be one of the most peaceful and refreshing day trips I’ve ever taken in Chikkamagaluru.

The Ganapathi Temple is a small yet beautiful shrine tucked right in the middle of lush tea plantations along the Kalasa–Kudremukh route. The location itself is magical — you walk up a short flight of steps, and suddenly you’re greeted with sweeping views of green hills and neatly lined tea bushes. The temple is simple, serene, and well-maintained, with an atmosphere that instantly calms you down. It’s not overly crowded, so you can actually sit for a while, enjoy the breeze, and soak in the quiet.

Just a short distance away is the Samse Tea Estate, and if you’re a tea lover (or just someone who enjoys nature), this is a must-visit. The rolling plantations are picture-perfect, and if you manage to get a guided tour, you’ll see the entire process of how fresh tea leaves are transformed into the beverage we love. The tea-tasting session was a highlight for me — fresh, aromatic, and full of flavor.

Both spots complement each other beautifully — the temple offers spiritual peace, and the tea estate offers a refreshing connection with nature. If you’re anywhere near Kalasa or Kudremukh, this combo is absolutely...

Nestled within the serene expanse of a tea estate, the Ganapati Temple proved to be a hidden gem that left an indelible mark on my journey. Situated amidst the tranquil surroundings, the temple's aura was simply captivating. If you find yourself in the vicinity, I highly recommend making the pilgrimage. The experience is undoubtedly worthwhile.

Navigating the transportation, however, demands a bit of planning. The limited bus connectivity between Karkala and the temple requires careful consideration. For a smooth journey back, consulting the bus conductor for the return schedule is advisable.

Embarking on the route to Samse, I was greeted by a breathtaking landscape adorned with lush expanses of greenery. Nature's artistry was on full display, and the journey was a visual feast for the senses. Each twist and turn of the road unraveled scenes of unparalleled beauty. The memories etched during this expedition are nothing short of delightful.

In sum, my visit to the Ganapati Temple within the tea estate was a remarkable experience. Despite the transportation intricacies, the temple's charm and the mesmerizing journey to Samse make it an escapade that I will...
