Sanapur Lake in Hampi is one of the cities best-kept secrets, quite serene, peaceful & views are just great. Formed by an irrigation reservoir, a trip to the lake makes for a pleasant retreat amidst the captivating bouldered landscapes.

Sanapur Lake is a reservoir fed by Tungabhadra Dam canal. It is beautiful to watch deep blue lake in middle of boulders. You will not be able to see lake till you reach very close to it as it is completely hidden. We were free that day so decided to explore the nearby places also, there are small villages before Sanapur lake and after crossing the lake there is a canal along the road and hills of boulders both the sides which was scenic to watch while riding rented scooter.

One of the best place around hampi to visit with family & friends. Where one can enjoy coracle rides at this place. Tickets are bit pricey but can give a try atleast one time if you likes else can sit & relax to watch mismerizing views around. I would recommend to have visit during morning & evening times as those are best times to witness.

This place ia accessible by 2w & 4w both just that parking gets crowded in busy times if you are travelling by 4w as sometimes its hard to find parking space. Apart from last leg of road is bit patchy at canal side.

Have a fun & please make sure not to throw any garbage/plastics, we should keep the sanity around...
