Sri Siddaganga Math in Tumakuru is more than just a religious institution; it's a beacon of hope and a center for transformative social work. For centuries, this revered Lingayat monastery has been dedicated to the principles of "Kayaka" (work is worship), "Dasoha" (sharing with those in need), and "Seve" (selfless service), embodying a profound commitment to the welfare of society. One of the most striking aspects of Sri Siddaganga Math is its unwavering dedication to providing free education, food, and accommodation to thousands of underprivileged children, irrespective of their caste or creed. This magnanimous endeavor empowers young minds with the tools they need to build a brighter future, breaking the cycle of poverty and fostering social mobility. The Math runs over 128 educational institutions, ensuring that quality education reaches even the most remote corners of Karnataka. From primary schools to professional colleges, including engineering and medicine, Sri Siddaganga Math nurtures talent and instills values in its students. Beyond education, the Math actively engages in various social services. It extends a helping hand to the differently-abled, running schools for the blind and providing them with free education, food, and independent hostel facilities. The Math also organizes annual agricultural and industrial exhibitions, benefiting local farmers and promoting economic development in the region. The spiritual ambiance of Sri Siddaganga Math is truly captivating. The serene and colorful landscape provides a tranquil environment for devotees and visitors alike. The Math's rich history, spanning over 600 years, is palpable in its ancient structures and the traditions that are meticulously preserved. It stands as a testament to the selfless service and spiritual leadership of its past and present seers, including the revered Dr. Sree Sree Shivakumara Mahashivayogi, whose vision continues to guide the Math's activities. Visiting Sri Siddaganga Math is an enriching experience. The sheer scale of its philanthropic activities is awe-inspiring, and the atmosphere exudes compassion and selfless service. It is a place where one can witness the profound impact of dedicated individuals working towards the betterment of society, making it a truly remarkable and inspiring...

Siddaganga Mutt in Tumkur has a history of about 600 years. This Mutt was started by Goshala Siddeshswhera swamiji.

Based on the principles of Basavanna the mutt was run by Sri Shivakumar Swamiji, Kayaka Jeevi (A Leading personality) without any sort of support from media, political power, advertisement and international funding. Today as well the Mutt is running under the same principles.

During the initial days he use to go around the villages by walk or using horses and beg for Davasa and Dhanya (Lentils, Rice etc) and was running the Ashram.

He had a lot of kindness towards the farmers and would ask about the rain and growth of davasa and dhanya with them on regular basis. He lead this by example of Saptha Sutras and taught others as well to lead this for the growth of Ashram.

He was well known as “Trivida Dasohi” due to his contribution towards Gnana Dasoha, Anna Dasoha and Sneha Dasoha.
