This is one of the rarest of the rare combination of a Hindu and a Muslim shrine. Situated inside a cave is the Hindu Datta Peeta and also the shrine of Saint Baba Budan who has a history of introducing coffee to India and this is considered the birth place. Baba Budan brought the Arabica coffee seeds from Arabia and is said to have planted them on the hills of Chikmagalur.
