About the temple- It's a very spacious and well arranged Devasthanam. A group of senior Pujaris also resides in the temple who carry out the daily activities in the temple. The Devasthanam also has rooms available at a very low cost for the pilgrims to stay. The rooms are neat and clean with hot water facility. The Devasthanam also serves food to the people which too is very economically priced and also free at certain occasions. The staff of the temple is extremely kind and helpful in nature. The Devasthanam also conducts various Poojas for the pilgrims for which they have to pay for in the office. The Pooja's are conducted beautifully by the Poojari's in the temple and is a delight to watch. They also carry out several Dosh-Nivaran and Satyanarayana Pooja's for the pilgrims.
There's ample parking space in the back of the temple.The temple is very clean and well maintained. Please contact the Temple office priorly before visiting for booking rooms in the temple.
Gokarna is just 25 kms from here. The Temple is easily locatable and a few metres away from the highway!

Parking area is not available for the visitors, have to park on the temple premises adjacent roads which are very narrow.
The goddess in the temple was shifted here from present day Goa land some five centuries ago, to avoid atrocities of then Portuguese rulers.
The temple is managed by the heirs of families of those who brought the goddess here from Goa then. Accommodation rooms present in the temple premises are also reserved for those families only.
