Hotel Sapna — Restaurant in Karnataka

We stayed at this hotel for a night finding the rooms clean and location close to highway after a long travel by our car. We couldnot find AC rooms in nearby hotels, so decided to stay here. They took the entire room tariff at check in as per their rules (other hotels take advance at check-in and balance is paid at checkout). After we checked into the so called AC room, we found that the temperature was controlled by hotel staff by some mobile app and fixed at around 25 degrees. Lowering temperature using remote didn't work and the room was barely cold even after 3 hours of adjusting at 17 degrees. After complaining repeatedly and confronting them for fixing temperature (which they obviously denied), they shifted us to another room. Again the issue remained the same. We could barely sleep as the weather was quite hot with hardly any AC effect. We didn't argue further as it was of no use (it was already past 11 pm) and we didn't have the energy either after a tiring day. We have AC in our house in all rooms and so could easily make out that AC temperature was fixed by the hotel staff. The stay was disappointing as we had lot of traveling to do the next day with inadequate sleep. In gist, we payed for an AC room which was actually non AC. If you still want to stay in this hotel for whatever reason (we would definitely not), please go for non AC room (Don't waste money on AC room). Breakfast was ordinary with cold buns and vadas which I didn't enjoy as I prefer my food hot. I also noticed that the hotel staff is not open to honest feedback from customers, maybe because they get offended when their flaws are being noticed and...

Today, after a mesmerizing sunset at Honey Beach, my friend and I spontaneously decided to head to Ankola for some evening snacks. To our delightful surprise, we stumbled upon Sapna Pure Veg Restaurant, and it turned out to be an absolute gem.

Mangala akka's warm hospitality added a special touch to our experience. Her humble smile and prompt service made us feel right at home. She was always there to take our orders and ensure that each dish was served with care.

Being in Gokarna for the past two years, finding authentic and delicious chaat items like samosas and shira has been a challenge. However, Sapna Pure Veg Restaurant pleasantly surprised us with a Menu.

Considering the quality and taste of the food, Sapna Pure Veg Restaurant offers excellent value for money.

I especially loved their South Indian dishes – the dosa was crisp, the chutneys were tasty, and the filter coffee was strong and authentic. It's a pure veg restaurant, so it's ideal for families, seniors, and anyone looking for clean, satvik meals.

The place is clean and well-maintained, with quick service and polite staff. Despite the crowd, everything was well-organized, and we didn’t have to wait too long. Also, it’s budget-friendly, which is great for regular visits.
