Truly one of the powerful temple near Bengaluru and mysuru
It takes nearly 2 hours to reach this temple from Bengaluru the temple is situated on top of the hill and lord mallikarjuna swamy ( shiva ) shrine is on the hill the view from the Temple is just breath taking the banks of Kaveri river going to talkadu and shivanasamudra looks so pleasent from that temple it's better to visit in weekdays as the crowd will be to low and you get more time to spend in this beautiful place and if you visit the mudukuthore don't forget to visit talakadu temple, hoysala temple, marleshwara temple and somanathapura temple and even gaganachukki and barachukki waterfalls it's a one day trip to visit all this places, and it is also said it is believed to be a site where Arjuna from the Mahabharata period worshipped Shiva, offering "Mallika pushpa. This act is said to have given rise to the title "Mallikarjuna" for Shiva.

Read moreVisited this place on Monday.. on the way to talakadu.. the temple is situated on the top of the hill.. there are 2 ways to reach, one by climbing the steps all the way from beginning and the other one is by reaching the top with our own vehicle and from there we can reach by climbing few steps..
The surrounding of the temple is so beautiful filled with lush greenery.. we can see some monkeys while climbing steps..
When I visited the temple it was under renovation.. and I think it takes 2 years to complete.

Midway, there is another flight of 100 steps to the same temple, but the gate to this stairway is opened only on certain days.
