This is an old temple of Lord Hanuman, situated just behind Mulbagal (Mualabagilu) bus stand. The magnificent statue of Lord is nearly 8 ft in height. This temple is maintained by Muzrai department. We didn't pay any entry fee.
The legend: Lord Hanuman sat in the flag of Arjuna's chariot in the great Mahabharata war. As the war ended, Lord Krishna instructed Arjuna to install Hanuman's statue here. Also, the temple complex includes Lord Shri Ram, Laxman, and Sita. These idols were worshiped by sage Vashishtha.
Another interesting factor is the idols were worshiped by Ketaki (Kedige/Pandanus odorifer ) flowers which are available in the vicinity all throughout the year.
There is a very gorgeous temple of Lord Shrinivas just beside Hanuman temple. The tradition is that the pilgrims to Tirupati use to visit Mulbagal temples and take blessings of Lord Hanuman and Shrinivas on their way and Lord in turn protect the devotees from all evil and bestow his blessings.
