Arimbra Hills or Mini Ooty is a tourist attraction between Malappuram and Kondottoot in Kerala, India. Located 1,050 ft above sea level. The place attracts large number of visitors for its rolling hills and scenic views. There are many stone crushers and plantations atop the hill. There is an old Harijan Colony on the western side of the hill. It is a favourite weekend getaway for the locals. Its resemblance to Ooty draws many tourists each year. The height of this Arimbra mountain is 445 meters. The main attraction here is the park called Misty Land. Like other parks, this park also has rides and attractions for kids. Next is the view from inside the park. The greenery, mountains, valleys and fog as far as the eye can see will give the mind special comfort.
Another feature that makes Arimbra special above all other features is the glass bridge here. Walking through the mirror you can see trees and greenery below. The bridge is about 15 meters long. The taste of mirror bridge is the same. In early July, the glass bridge at Malappuram was completed and opened for visitors. The entry fee to the bridge is Rs. 100 It is inside Misty Park. Misty Land opens for visitors early in the morning. These sights await the travelers till nine o'clock at night. If you come early in the morning, the fog and the mirror bridge will be a good experience. This Misty Park can be reached by traveling 4 km from Aravankara on the Malappuram -...
Read moreAmazing view, and pretty unique experience for a price of 100₹ per head, over the 20₹ entrance fees. Reviews for the other attractions are seperate, I'll just be talking about the glass bridge here.
We went at around 8pm and the crowd was still present, probably due to onam. Couldn't really appreciate the beauty of it as it was pretty crowded (there's only little space for 1-2 family at most) and due to loud music. Night sky was beautiful and the cool breeze definitely set up a calming atmosphere.
I'd definitely recommend you to visit on weekdays away from peak hours, in the morning when you can really appreciate the view better.
If you're able to put up with the obnoxious loud music and the crowd that never seems to go away it's a unique experience that's worth a visit.
However, the road to reach the place is quite treacherous, so beginner drivers should NOT be coming here. The roads are unforgiving, especially at night, where it can get really...
Read moreMini ooty is located at Arimbra hills, one of the hill peak of Oorakam. Situated in a secluded place mini ooty offers high altitude view of near by towns. However way to the top is bad, often filled heavy vehicle to near crushers and dusted with particles formed due to quarry mining.
The glass bridge is forms part of an amusement park called Misty Land functions here. Entry fee to park costs Rs. 20 and Glass bridge its Rs. 100. Different games for children and refreshment facilities were provided inside.
Best time to visit the place morning or evening and best season is winter and monsoon. I am doubtful about the longevity of this beautiful spot, still we can see the ruptures created by unbridled quarry mining in the locality.
It'sa best place to hang out with friends or families in a...
