Mini Ootty bear potential to be a tourist attraction, however waits for a natural catastrophe due to the licensed as well as unlicensed quarry works going all around the hill region. The authority who are responsible to the development of tourism in mini ooty should have great concern about the destruction the mining do to the hill. Birds stopped coming to the region. The hills are blasted with explosives as part of the mining process. This is followed by drilling into the rock. The extracted stone is then crushed for construction purposes. This is continued for decades. If authority doesn't take any action now,the death of few hundred only will open their eyes.

And mini ootty is naturally beautiful yet aesthetically not designed, the view points are invaded by some vendors and no proper waste management at the place. Waste accumulated in a bucket will be dropped within the area in the dark.

A visitor who haven't been much into high ranges will enjoy the sight here, but not much to offer for a frequent high range visitor. The beauty of place is palpable at the time of rain or after- rain where the misty mountains sprawl the fog, there you go to chill on a bike. There are two main view points at the moment and a 'Thiruvona Mala', which is locally famous for a temple on top, additionally gives you some top view to the runway of calicut international airport.

There is only one pay parking slot at the moment which is infront of misty land park (a small park catering a cafe too). This park has a 40 meter long glass bridge which can be exciting for some visitors.

Traffic in the area is heavy on sunday evening or any other public holidays like Eid, other days are easy. You should drive carefully as always as tipper trucks may flash at any moment, remember there are several quarries running in the region. But truck drivers, here, are always careful about visitors where they go slowly and gives way to other vehicles to pass.

Please keep mini ooty clean as your house, keep the waste in the bin, please don't throw!

Let's help each other to the safe and beautiful earth other generations too can live.

The overall experience was amazing... It's worth spending a whole day there and it's one of the best places to spend time with family... Children would love this place.. I prefer to get on the Big Glass Bridge instead of the small one... And the Pet's place is amazing only if you are not scared of birds... In the Pet's place, you can interact with birds... There is also a chameleon and a snake you can click a picture with... There we can see some of the animals too... The worst experience I had there was riding on a horse.. It's not part of the Pet's place, it's separate... The man with the horse said two people can ride for a 100 rupees and insisted both of us should ride at the same time... When the second person sat on the horseback, the horse was clearly uncomfortable... We said many times that we couldn't do that and the horse was also not comfortable and we were constantly going like to fall... The horseman didn't care at all and even if the ride was only two rounds, we were scared as hell... After we got off, the horseman blamed us that all happened because we don't have balance... Of course we wouldn't have balance because we don't ride on a horse everyday.... Before getting on that horse, we were so excited and after, we were hella scared... It happened because the horse couldn't bear our weight combined so it got irritated and the sad part is, the horseman doesn't care at all... And at last we went to the horror house and that was really nice in a scary way... We screamed and laughed a lot.. It was really fun ... And then we went to the top and clicked some pictures... The important thing is the view from the Glass Bridge is literally amazing... We went there in the afternoon so we didn't get enough time to explore everything... The tickets are a bit expensive but worth it... And I think they have the all ride in one ticket scheme or something... Tip: Get there as early as possible and try to enjoy every...

Mini Ooty, nestled in the enchanting region of Kondotty, Malappuram, is truly a remarkable natural wonder. Perched at an impressive elevation of 1050 feet above sea level, this mesmerizing destination allows visitors to reach out and touch the clouds. The breathtaking scenery and serene ambiance make it a perfect haven for tranquility seekers. Moreover, it has gained popularity as an excellent trekking spot, offering adventurous journeys amidst its picturesque surroundings. However, a tinge of sadness fills the air as the pristine beauty of Mini Ooty gradually fades away. The sounds of cracking rocks echo through the once-tranquil atmosphere, as the quarrying activities take their toll on this splendid landscape. It provides a vantage point to witness the magnificent sight of Calicut Airport's runway, a unique and awe-inspiring experience. Moreover, a multitude of parks graces this haven, offering visitors an opportunity to immerse themselves in nature's embrace. The recent addition of a glass bridge adds an element of thrill and adventure, allowing visitors to traverse above the scenic landscapes. Additionally, mini expos further enhance the destination's allure, showcasing human creativity and innovation. Nevertheless, as these artificial creations emerge, it becomes crucial to preserve and cherish the natural essence of Mini Ooty.
