Kuruvadweep is the island surrounded with natural water source. This is a dense and evergreen forest; home of rare kinds of flora and fauna: uncommon species of birds, orchids and herbs. It is a good place for nature lovers. You can see be in the heart of the earth. But remember it is not a place for trucking or adventure activities. There are no shops in the islands. If you have kids with you, carry some snacks and water with you. It is a plastic free zone so that, avoid throwing trash and plastic anywhere in the river and island. Everyday there is only 200 people are allowed to visit the island. Ticket should be given after 9.30 only. It is better to go early and take token by entering name, address and number of people etc. on the register which is available in the counter. The best part of the visit to Kuruva islands is the ride in the bamboo raft to cross the Kabini river to reach the islands. There are other places where you can do bamboo rafting but at a cost of Rs 1,500 or more. Just by paying the ticket price to access the islands, you can enjoy a free ride in the bamboo raft. Bamboo rafts are the only way to reach the islands since they are islands and are not connected by road. Swimming is allowed in the tourist zone. Remember to carry your bath towels or swimwear. Need to pay for parking near the office area. Outside have free parking is area also. Small hotel and some shops are there near the free parking area. Feel the nature

Lemme give a clear description. Per day the tickets to island are given 575. There are two entry gates you can choose as per your stay and nearest one. If you want to go to island(on the bamboo raft, they will leave to other side of water) Reach by 7am to get the tickets and counter will open by 9 am. 1. If you have not been to any nature place like forest, greenary, hill station then it excites you definitely otherwise you don't find anything interesting. 2. The entry fee is 94 rps to island and bamboo rafting is 100 per head 3. After getting entry to island, there will forest and you need to walk for 1km to reach the end destination which is Kabini River. 4. Guards will be there to help you through out the way. 5. You can experience forest feel through the walk and water is not that clean but if you are interested, you can bath also. 6. Dormitory rooms, cloak room and toilets are available. The Snack shops are less but you can get home made chocolate, spices etc. 7. If there is no entry to island after the 575 tickets, go for Bamboo rafting which is worthy. 8. On weekends, the place is very crowded and you don't get tickets easily. Overall : Good place if you have not seen any forest or greenary places. Can spend atleast half day.
