Nature Haven Park is a delightful destination for families seeking a perfect blend of nature, art, and adventure. As you embark on a walk through the enchanting woods, the cool breeze envelops you, creating a serene atmosphere that immediately captivates both kids and adults alike.

The park's unique charm lies in the presence of captivating dinosaur sculptures strategically placed along the walking trails. These prehistoric creatures spark curiosity and provide an educational element to the visit. Complementing the natural beauty, you'll encounter meaningful artworks scattered throughout the woods, adding an artistic touch that engages visitors on a deeper level.

The journey takes you to the downside of the DAM, where the spillage area unveils a different aspect of the park's ecosystem. It's an opportunity to observe nature's resilience and adaptability. The adjacent gallery area further enhances the experience, showcasing curated exhibits that blend seamlessly with the surrounding environment.

While the hanging bridge, a highlight of the return journey, is temporarily closed for maintenance, its presence promises an exciting adventure once reopened. This anticipation adds an element of suspense and fuels the desire to return for the complete experience.

In conclusion, Nature Haven Park stands as a haven for families seeking a wholesome outing. Its harmonious integration of nature, dinosaur sculptures, meaningful artworks, and the promise of adventure with the hanging bridge make it a must-visit destination for those looking to create lasting memories with...

The leisure zone is just a walk through a barely maintained garden space along the dam bridge at Thenmala. It’s not a very awe-inspiring place. Just a quick walk if you’ve taken this unnecessary ticket.

The one-way loop pathway takes you uphill and downhill though a slopped terrain and then back to the main gate. Along the way, you can see a badly curated array of sculptures that inspires no interest to the visitors. At the initial stretches of the walk, you can see sculptures of dinosaurs. Then you will see abstract human figures. Then you’ll see some hindu mythological characters like eklavyan, then some Dance forms, then you come across the hanging bridge and then take the long stroll back to the main gate.

The main flaw is that the sculptures don’t really give out any connecting story. They are not based on a single theme. Just random topics that do not educate or excite the passersby. Nature lovers may want to take some snaps with the lush green background that’s barely maintained for a garden, but only beautiful because it is green. Kerala tourism really needs to learn to productize their tourism assets instead of dull approached like these.

I don’t know why this park is call a leisure park. There is nothing leisurely about it. There isn’t any popular sculptures, not any place for kids, no good refreshment center… oh and not to mention- you will get baked in the sun if you enter at a time around noon. Try to avoid your visit...

Leisure Zone, part of Thenmala Ecotourism is a marvelous picnic spot where visitors can unwind all stress and strain and relax in absolute harmony with nature. Can spend about 2-3 hours here idly walking through the winding trails of walkways amidst thick forest like tall trees and strolling through the river front walkways enjoying close view of Kallada river. Can also get a beautiful closeup view of Thenmala Dam from the river front walkway. Through out the place there are lots of spots for taking beautiful snaps of the stream and the dam besides the walkways itself which are good targets for photo shoot. There is a suspended bridge from the river front walkway across the river which extends up to the " Nest", the Swiss cottage type accommodation provided by Ecotourism. A walk through this bridge is a pleasant experience. There is a Sculpture Garden where various species of Dinosaurs are on display. Children will greatly enjoy these sculptures. There are lots of resting places through out the zone along the walk ways where visitors can rest whiling away some quality time admiring the nature. The zone is located at the Dam main junction on Trivandrum road immediately after the bridge. The place is open till 5.45 PM. Visitors can certainly enjoy couple of hours in this serene...

The Leisure zone & Sculpture garden which is a part of Thenmala ecotourism failed to create an appealing impact in me. Its a normal walkway amidst some greenery and the place doesn't even provide justice to its name since it is not at all maintained as a garden. It is just a place full of naturally grown trees and plants and in between those, some random sculptures of dinosaurs, human figures and some dance forms are placed. The sculptures are curated with some ideology but the main flaw is that it doesn't create an interest in the visitors to pause and try to analyze the meaning for each sculpture. All the sculptures and even the name/sign boards here are in a pathetic condition which is in need of renovation really soon. The Hanging bridge and the downside closer view of the Thenmala Dam are the only two things which feels a bit attractive. There is huge scope for tourism improvements here since the place is gifted with such a natural green habitat. Diligent and timely act from the concerned authorities is much needed here for converting the place into a real Leisure zone & Sculpture garden.
