If you visit at own pace of the temple visit like a tourist spot. This place is ok. I recently went to this place in a distressed push situation, losing job for 6 months, they asked me to pay 10500 and told all dosha will be gone with 1 mandala- 48days puja. Firstly they tell it's black magic and then they made me rush to the temple all for financial distress. I had travelled from my home n reached with train delay. This is the first so called temple, where I had entered without taking bath with complete health issue developed suddenly with muscle pull n twicting and swollen feet. Language n communication is a big issue. When i reached they asked me to meet a person n give the token number. There they asked me for 201 rupess n noted my info n I gave 210 where the remaining money was not even given and i did not ask too. Post that I was seated n was called last as i ended up going late due to the train delay. This visit was not an imp one at this juncture. They asked from which place i come n language. Despite of communicating they clearing said something about my dosha in Malayalam and another puja to be performed again to avoid any more black magic recurrence. When i said no malayalam, there was a translator who explained 21k for that puja, i was shocked as i had no money with no job. They said if this puja is done, the work issues n application for job will be approved for me than the competitors. Later the 21k became 11k. I was left peniless, card got declined but all that they gave is a thin copper leaf of yantra, n asked me to keep it in my house. Then a Tabeez was given, not sure if any of these are even silver, however, it doesn't matter. Then a thin silvery coin to keep in the purse n small face of vishnumaya to be put in the Gulak n the leaflet written in Tamil of these procedure. There was no explanation of when dark things happened in life, when one gives money, everything is expected out in return. I took this as a removal service with a huge cost of total 21700 without pre information of all service. The intention is only money minting and not serving any humanity. Steps should be included of what n how much is required without which people feel cheated of this temple service. I knew everything is about pnly money with Keralites. I witnessed it right from the time of start n leaving the place. No one will want to commit suicide going to this place when one is dying in debts. No temple history was explained in any of the calls or the visit. I did not connect to the temple as positive energy. They give food as prasad not sure if this is for everyone. I was dead tired with swollen feet n muscle pull stayed in the temple for few hrs n was told by a security guy that the temple will be closed in few hrs n he asked me to get away before it gets too dark. They put fan n asked me to sit in the comfy sofa after 6 they switched off the fan n probably wanted me to leave asap. This was the weirdest temple visit why I visited , why i gave money I don't know. I still believe in God but not in the upfront human folks. Good thing is that some good soul stopped by n gave me little black tea when i was exhausted as i was not able to walk n my train back to my city was at late night. I expressed the person who communicated to reach to the temple about the same. There was absolutely no response. If you think you have no good life, trust me, go to any nearest temple of your choice or hanuman temple, light lamp n chant mantra. IF those mantras can't help these hidden rituals certainly can't help. I applied for many job n most of them are disqualified and if ever I lose my life, probably because of the guilt of spending money here when i had 13 lacs loans to repay without job. No job calls had been there since the time of my payment made. One needs to be blunt so that these trouble some visits could be avoided. I have lost all due respects for fellow state folks because of this incident. I will certainly not recommend if you are in a stressful situation like me. Highly not recommended for those who has...

Read moreDuring our recent vacation in Kerala, my husband and I, along with our family, decided to visit Peringottukara Devasthanam Temple. We had seen numerous posts on Instagram and heard people praising the temple as a spiritually powerful place. Naturally, we were curious and decided to visit. Unfortunately, our experience turned out to be deeply disappointing and frustrating.
From the moment we entered the temple, we sensed something was off. The usual peace, serenity, and spiritual calm one expects in a temple were absent. While we were praying, a staff who was standing near approached us and asked if it was our first visit. Although I already knew about the temple’s practices from my sister, I told him it was our first time. Immediately, he began suggesting that we perform certain pujas and led us to a counter to purchase receipts for the rituals.
After purchasing the receipts, we were made to wait for nearly two hours. Eventually, we were directed to meet someone who appeared to be an astrologer. This person pretended to predict things about our lives, but his statements were random, nonsensical, and clearly fabricated. It was obvious that his role was part of a scheme to convince us to spend more money.
Things took a shocking turn when the temple staff started pressuring us to perform a puja costing ₹41,000. When we explained that we were already in debt and couldn’t afford such an amount, they audaciously suggested borrowing money, claiming the ritual would solve all our problems and allow us to repay the loan. Even after we refused, they persisted, urging us to perform at least a one-day puja costing ₹1,001.
As we tried to leave, they continued to follow us, relentlessly trying to coerce us into spending money. The entire experience felt like a calculated scam designed to exploit the faith and trust of devotees.
This was, without a doubt, the worst temple experience we’ve ever had. To anyone considering visiting Peringottukara Devasthanam, I strongly urge you to reconsider. Faith and devotion should never be commercialized, and no one should have to face such manipulation in the name of spirituality. If you are a true believer seeking peace and solace, this is not the...
