Raja ravi varma art gallery is a very beautiful place. The paining and atrt set there is very stupendous. Raja ravi Varma arts gallery is set up by the kerala lalithakala academy at kilimanoor, the birthplace of the renowned painter raja ravi varma .It displays nearly 50 paintings of Raja Ravi Varma. there are so many sculptures available and the sculptures are very beautiful. Raja Ravi Varma was an Indian painter and artist. He is considered among the greatest painters in the history of Indian art. His works are one of the best examples of the fusion of European academic art with a purely Indian sensibility and iconography. The day I visited this place(month of December 2020), the gates to this place were wide open, the watchmen was nowhere to be found, two elderly individuals were sitting under a shelter (seemed to be the employees of the gallery) and cared a little about our presence out there. The gallery is a house to some great paintings of Raja Ravi Varma's which I could only see through the windows because the doors were closed and there was nobody to attend us (tourists). The doors, to be honest were not strong enough to guard the paintings on display. The Art Gallery had notices and some key instruction (I assume) that were pasted on the walls which were all printed in Malayalam (which I feel that most of the tourists wouldn't really be capable of reading). Don't be confused with this place with the Kilimanoor Palace. the art Gallery is situated 2Km away from the palace. Now the Gallery is renovated. But the work is not yet been full-fledged.
