Read morePart of Eravikulam national park , its one of those places you must not miss out on your munnar trip .Tickets to the park can be booked online and I believe its around 200/ person . Once you present it , you will be taken up the hill by bus operated by the park .Its a short drive but worth it since you will be able to enjoy the beutifull scenery around and encounter a few hair pin bends on the way .Once you get down at the drop off point you can enter the check post and from there can walk up the hills. The pathway is aptly termed " Tahr Walk" since it provides visitors with a great opportunity to watch the popular " Nilgiri tahr" grazing near by and in groups . The walk itself offers some beautifull photo points and visitors can see some imposing natural formations which will give an idea about the brutal force of nature hidden beneath its beauty.
On the way there is a one " neela kurinji " garden and may come across a couple of narrow streams (appears the size varies depending on the rain ) .Also saw one family offering prayers in front of what appeared to be a local diety .Once up the hill you will find a warning sign not to proceed further and have a couple of temporary shelters where you can rest.
One can see people / vehicles passing through it further but possibly either authorised personnel of the park or locals residing there . From this tourist limit spot you are supposed to walk back through the same path .Once you reach the pickup / drop off location, there is washroom facility as well as a coffee shop with some snacks ( Need to be maintained better though) .Over all a...
