I crossed this Bhakti Shakti Garden many a times while travelling to Mumbai but didn't get an opportunity to visit it, so one day had a evening bike ride to Nigdi from Pune to visit is beautiful garden and most famous evening spot in PCMC. It is also known as “PCMC Chowpati”. This is a government park developed and maintained by PCMC near Nigdi Pradhikaran PCMC bus stop. Satue of Shivaji Maharaj & Sant Tukaram, Bhakti Shakti Garden Bhakti Shakti Garden To reach this garden one need to travel on old Mumbai-Pune highway & after crossing the Nigdi flyover, you find this garden on the left side of the Nigdi Pradhikaran Chowk. Garden is open from 6 to 8 am in the morning and 5 to 8:30 pm in the evening. Also there is a special entertainment zone outside the Garden for children’s from 1-5 years, and many fast food stalls. Hence it is the perfect evening place to enjoy with family. Largest National Flag On the tallest flagpole at Bhakti Shakti Chowk along the Mumbai-Pune highway. Bhakti-Shakti is a collection of statues installed by PCMC, in memory of the meeting between great saint Tukaram Maharaj and Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj. Bhakti-Shakti as a title represents union of spiritualism and power. Historically Shivaji in his early days of 'Hindavi Swaraj' had come to Dehu to meet sant Tukaram to seek his blessings. This place is located on old Pune-Mumbai highway, sector 23, Nigdi. Renowned sculptor Madan Garge of the Garge Art studio, Nashik, was assigned the work of making the statues. The height of the statues of Sant Tukaram and Chhatrapati Shivaji are 20-foot while the other statues stand at 10-foot. The statues weigh 22 metric tonnes.[1] Statues are placed on a small hillock. Over the years this statue has become face of Pimpri-Chinchwad. Bhakti-Shakti opens in the morning at 6.00 AM to 8.00 AM and 5.00 PM to 8.30 PM in the evening.

Bhakti Shakti Garden in Pune is a serene and well-maintained green space, perfect for those looking for a peaceful retreat within the city. The garden offers a blend of lush greenery, neatly laid-out walking paths, and peaceful seating areas, making it ideal for morning walks, evening relaxation, or a casual outing with family and friends. The atmosphere is calm, with spiritual vibes added by the presence of small temples and religious elements within the park. Though not very large, the garden is thoughtfully designed, making good use of the available space. The cleanliness and well-maintained surroundings add to the overall pleasant experience. It's a great spot for nature lovers, joggers, or anyone looking for a tranquil spot in the city to unwind.

Bhakti Shakti Garden in Nigdi, PCMC, is a small urban garden best suited for children rather than adults. The main attractions here are kid-friendly rides, open play areas, and colorful surroundings that keep youngsters entertained. The garden is clean and safe, making it a comfortable spot for parents to bring their kids for an evening outing. Small food stalls and ice-cream vendors add to the “mela”-like feel, which is enjoyable for families with children.

While the garden has a prominent statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj, along with a tall national flag that adds cultural and patriotic value, the overall space lacks variety and engagement for adults. Seating areas are limited, and the walking tracks are short, so it’s not ideal for those looking for long, peaceful strolls or nature walks.

In the evenings, the place gets quite crowded, which may not appeal to visitors seeking quiet relaxation. However, for children, the rides, open lawns, and festive environment make it a lively and fun destination. In short, Bhakti Shakti Garden works well as a short family stop with kids, but adults without children might find it...

I recently visited a beautiful garden in this area, and I was truly impressed by its charm and tranquillity. The highlight of the garden is undoubtedly the towering Indian flag, proudly fluttering in the breeze, evoking a strong sense of patriotism and pride.

The garden itself is meticulously maintained with lush greenery, colourful flowerbeds, and well-paved pathways perfect for leisurely strolls. Benches are thoughtfully placed, offering serene spots to sit and admire the surroundings. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it an ideal place for families, morning walkers, and those seeking a quiet retreat.

The presence of the large Indian flag adds a unique touch to the garden, making it not just another green space but a symbol of national pride. The flag is prominently visible from various points within the garden, serving as a majestic backdrop for photos.

Overall, this garden is a delightful spot to relax, connect with nature, and feel a deep sense of national pride. Highly recommended for anyone...
