I had the pleasure of visiting the Bharatratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Garden in the evening, and it truly exceeded my expectations. This garden, named after India’s former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, is not only a tribute to him but also a beautiful public space designed to offer visitors a serene and refreshing experience.

Atmosphere and Lighting:

One of the most striking aspects of the garden is its lighting, especially in the evening. As the sun sets, the garden transforms into a peaceful haven with well-placed lights that give the space a warm, inviting glow. The lighting enhances the natural beauty of the plants and trees, making the entire environment feel calm and peaceful. The soft, ambient light allows you to fully enjoy the beauty of the surroundings without any harsh artificial brightness. The well-lit pathways make it easy to navigate through the garden, adding to the overall charm of the evening visit.

Entry Fee and Accessibility:

The garden has an affordable entry fee of ₹20 for adults, which makes it accessible to people from all walks of life. For this price, the experience is definitely worth it. It’s a perfect place for anyone looking for a relaxing evening without spending much money. The garden is also well-maintained, and the pathways are clean and easy to walk along. There are no major barriers to entry, making it suitable for families, seniors, and individuals alike.

Design and Landscape:

The garden is thoughtfully designed, with a blend of both modern and traditional landscaping. There are plenty of well-manicured lawns, beautiful flowerbeds, and shady trees offering comfortable spots to relax. The layout is spacious, with wide walking paths that allow for leisurely strolls, and there are benches scattered around where visitors can sit and soak in the views. A few sculptures and murals around the garden also pay homage to Atal Bihari Vajpayee, adding a cultural and historical touch to the space.

Cleanliness and Maintenance:

The garden is impeccably clean and well-maintained. The pathways are clear, and the grass is well-trimmed, ensuring that visitors can enjoy the space without any litter or disturbances. The staff appears to take great pride in maintaining the garden, and their efforts truly show in the overall ambiance. You’ll also notice that the plants and flowers are well-cared for, and the area has a pleasant fragrance, adding to the overall sensory experience.

Special Features:

There are a few special features in the garden, such as water fountains and decorative elements that enhance the beauty of the place. In the evening, the lighting around these water features adds a mesmerizing effect, creating a soothing atmosphere perfect for reflection or relaxation.

The garden is designed to be a peaceful retreat, and it’s a great place to escape the noise and bustle of the city. Whether you're looking to take a walk, relax on a bench, or simply enjoy nature, the garden provides a perfect setting.

Conclusion:

Overall, my visit to the Bharatratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Garden was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. It offers a peaceful environment, especially in the evening when the lighting creates a magical ambiance. The entry fee is minimal, and the garden is a wonderful place to relax, take in the natural beauty, and reflect on the legacy of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, this garden is a must-visit spot for anyone who enjoys nature and...

Review:

“Just when you thought Pune parks couldn’t get more exciting—enter Atal Bihari Vajpayee Udyan, home of the city’s first Sky Walk! With its multi-level illuminated walkway gracefully circling a fountain-lit pond, this place feels like stepping into a night-time fairy tale.

Awesome Garden in PCMC . Multi level walkways/ bridges . Color changing lights everywhere in the evening. ✨ Beautiful landscape garden with sand , rock and lawn. Small pond with waterfall & fountain.

But the gardens are not accessible. You can enjoy the beautiful view from the walkways only. 🤩

There is some projection over the pond & wall. Nicely developed old mine area ! Good place for morning walkers & also for having some outdoor time with family and friends👍 Big parking area for vehicles is available.

The garden is clean and quiet where you can enjoy with kids and take a long walk. The lighting looks great at night.

This garden has spacious parking. Nowadays they started charging money for visitors, Maybe to reduce the crowd and maintain the garden properly.

The garden closes at 8 pm.

Tip: Don't forget to keep cash to buy tickets.

Washroom ✅ Wheelchair friendly ❌ Photography and videography ✅ Parking ✅

This garden is truly a hidden gem. The greenary is lush and well-maintained, providing a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The fountains add a lovely touch of elegance, and the synchronized lights bring the garden to life at night. The walkway is well-designed and allows for a leisurely stroll through the garden. The highlight of the garden, however, is the light show. The way the lights are choreographed to the music is truly mesmerizing and adds an extra layer of magic to the garden. Entry to the garden is charged(20rs per person), but it is worth every penny. The cost of entry is more than justified by the beauty and tranquility of the garden. Overall, this garden is a must-see and is perfect for an evening walk or a romantic date. Highly...

A very unique yet peaceful and eye catching garden one of its kind in Pimpri-chinchwad, pune near ksb chowk shahunagar. In the loving memory of Bharat Ratna Dr. Atal bihari vajpayee ji! Pros: Very well maintained govt. Garden in vast landscape. Best time to visit early morning before 10 am and after 5 pm ! 20/- per adult is the ticket price and Yes guys it's worth it. Once you enter the garden and see the beautifully curated lake/big pond with a waterfall and dolphin shaped fountains you' ll be mesmerized ' it's really a meditative experience ' get lost in the beauty of the view. In the evening it even gets more attractive as they have colorful in sync lights all over the garden giving it a 3D experience as if you are in some theme park or a resort. Come with kids parents frnds lovers suits best equally! One can really take Instagram worthy pictures here!! Cons: they should have allotted one dedicated seating place in the lawn area , as the sign reads public not allowed in the garden lawn. However still people do step in the lawn n sit n eat stuff and a supervised visit to the very bottom floor of the garden where it's decorated with pebbles, colored stones, sand and plants etc ( only if people kept it clean and as it is) Safety : totally safe as when I visited there was the emergency help team present at the site for any mishaps and garden security too. I have attached pictures for better understanding, don't need any more words to describe the place i guess. Cheers!! Recommended absolutely in you are in pcmc or would personally give a visit!
