Nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes of Maharashtra, India, Kailasgad stands tall as a testament to both natural beauty and historical grandeur. As an avid trekker and history enthusiast, my recent visit to Kailasgad left an indelible mark on my soul.

The journey to Kailasgad began with a scenic drive through winding roads, flanked by lush greenery and quaint villages. Upon reaching the base of the fort, the real adventure began. The ascent to the summit was both exhilarating and challenging, with each step revealing panoramic vistas of the surrounding countryside.

Upon reaching the summit, I was greeted by the imposing walls and ancient ruins of Kailasgad. The fort's architecture, although weathered by time, still exuded a sense of grandeur and majesty. Exploring its intricate pathways and crumbling structures felt like stepping back in time, unraveling the mysteries of centuries past.

But Kailasgad is not just a relic of the past; it is also a sanctuary of natural beauty. The panoramic views from the fort's vantage points offered a breathtaking glimpse of the verdant valleys below, while the crisp mountain air rejuvenated both body and spirit.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the landscape, I found myself reflecting on the timeless beauty and historical significance of Kailasgad. It is a place where history and nature converge, inviting visitors to embark on a journey of discovery and exploration.

In conclusion, my experience at Kailasgad was nothing short of extraordinary. Whether you're a history buff, a nature lover, or simply seeking adventure, Kailasgad has something to offer everyone. It is a place where the past meets the present, and where every step is a reminder of the rich tapestry of human history and the enduring...

The fort is well-preserved and offers a glimpse into the rich history and culture of the region. Visitors can explore the various structures on the fort, including the main entrance, bastions, and watchtowers, which provide a fascinating insight into the fort's military architecture.

One of the most impressive features of Fort Kailasgad is the temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, which is located on the fort's peak. The temple is a popular pilgrimage site and attracts devotees from all over the region.

The fort also has several water tanks and cisterns that were used to store water during times of siege. Visitors can explore these tanks and learn about the ingenious engineering techniques used to build them.

The trek to Fort Kailasgad can be challenging, and visitors should be prepared for steep inclines and rough terrain. However, the breathtaking views and historical significance of the fort make it an excellent destination for trekkers and history enthusiasts alike.

In conclusion, Fort Kailasgad is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in history, culture, and adventure. The fort's well-preserved structures, stunning views, and rich history make it a unique and fascinating destination in...

Visited on October 10. The trail is tricky due to the plants, bushes (till chest and head height) and grass in most part of it , no clear path to ascend like many other forts I have visited. Would recommend to visit early morning if planning to visit during this time of year as it started getting hot and humid after 9.30- 10 am. Hardly any trees at the top to take rest. Yellow flowers all around during the later half of trek and at the of top makes the view scenic. Definitely not an easy one to do on the day we did it. Would recommend to carry sufficient water. The top was full of grass and yellow flowers. The view of Mulshi backwaters from the top is good but not worth the efforts you put. Similar kind of view can be enjoyed from Lohgad fort. Overall the experience was ok. I guess we took the trek as easy one reading other reviews before visiting but it was definitely tricky. P.S. I assume, due to current situation, hardly any visitors to fort must have made the path/trail inaccessible so we found it difficult to reach to the top through all the bushes and plants.

An offbeat trek if you are tired of all those popular and crowded treks near Pune. This is a moderate level trek. We visited in November and the grass was pretty high towards the end of the trek. Make sure to wear proper hiking shoes with good grip as there are a few difficult patches. Most of the trail is narrow with a cliff on one side. Carry water and food. Also, make sure to download offline map as you might lose internet connection while travelling to the base village and back. Why visit Kailasgad? 1. Offbeat hike and no crowd so you actually get to тАЬdisconnectтАЭ. 2. Will quench your thirst for adventure. 3. Mesmerising flowers at the summit during winter months. 4. Serene views. Please keep the trails clean! Happy hiking ЁЯШН

AMAZING PLACE no doubts. But... Go with experienced trekker. Solo not recommended at any cost. Route is simple but having few rock patches so climb them carefully. At one time only one person can pass at almost 90% of path so avoid collision. While climbing at left there is deep valley exposure so don't get disturbed in taking selfies or clicking pictures. Even on weekends hardly any human visits this place. So be careful. There are no any water tanks at top as well as at base. So carry at least 2 liter bottle per person and off course food is must to carry. Go in group if you wish to explore. As I said before "This place is not for solo or first time trekkers".
