I had an amazing Workcation experience at The Waterfront Resort with my wife. This place has a very scenic and beautiful view of the Mulshi dam. This place is very raw which goes through small villages along the Mulshi dam. It has lake view on the front side and hill view on the back side which makes it very pleasant weather wise, peaceful and scenic. There is small but steep route that reaches to the shore of the lake which takes around 10-15 mins walk. I went to the lake and it was totally mesmerizing. Since there was no crowd the lake was very silent, clean and peaceful. The property has different room types like Wooden cottage, Stone cottage and Container cottage. They are also building tree houses there. We stayed in the stone cottage which was spacious with all the basic amenities. The Wi-Fi speed was good so we were able to work properly. There could be some network or electricity glitches which is obvious since the location is very remote. But the property owner has done great work in getting a dedicated Wi-Fi network at this place. The best part of our stay was delicious food served at all meals. Since it was an All-Inclusive booking we were not required to go outside for food. The chef here was really very good in preparing the breakfast, lunch, high tea with snacks, BBQ starters and dinner. We were like what else do we need! There are lot of open areas where where you can sit, enjoy the cool breeze flowing across the property and a deck kind of place with stunning panoramic view of the lake. There are lot of trees, plants with flowers in the property premises. It was good to see that they have kept lot of trees as it is. We enjoyed having BBQ starters and dinner with the bonfire as the temperature falls down after evening. The property is being expanded to have more cottages and under construction. The drive to reach this place was very beautiful. We traveled from Mumbai via Kolad-Tamhini Ghat route. The views enroute are very beautiful and we can take stops at some beautiful points like Kundalika valley view, Tamhini Ghat view point etc. The Tamhini Ghat road has lot of bends and turns. Driving enthusiasts would love to drive here but need to be careful especially while taking the turns as the road in not broad. Mr.Dinesh Kumar manages the bookings and everything at the property. He is very welcoming and always ready to serve with a smile. He made sure that we get all kind of comfort in terms of stay, food, travel etc. Once the booking is done he also shared the ideal route and map with me to reach this place. The last 20 minutes of drive will be little bumpy as the property is located at a remote location and naturally the roads are not as good as the highway. Well that is expected but it takes us through beautiful villages, landscapes and another fun part is knowing that you will arrive at the destination soon. I will highly recommend this place to those who really want to be more in nature and worry less about the lavishness of the property. This place is ideal for those who want to be surrounded with scenic views, trees, peace, great food, good hospitality and just want to relax without worrying about going out for meals. One area where they can improve is the cleanliness of the washrooms, well it was not bad but we had to ask them to clean again which was done immediately. I will come back to this place again with my family and friends to enjoy the...

I had such an amazing stay at this place.. I have been eyeing this place for quite some time but every time I use to check it was sold out

This time i got the chance and i am definitely not regretting to have booked my stay here

So to start with the property is located at the other side of the lake so the fun begins from the entrance itself you have to cross the lake via that floating boat setup which is so much in itself however car cannot come offcourse till the door so u park the car near the lake which is owned property of the hotel so ur car is safe there and road is narrow but manageable my xuv300 was able to pass through easily through those roads.

coming to the room , we booked the family room with 6 beds and we got a huge room.

The bedsheets and bathroom were clean so we were happy , The room had AC but note that they don't give anything except room and bed in room so u gotta get ur own towel , toiletries and there is no in-room tea coffee maker nor do they give you Bisleri they give you jug filled with tap water ( this is just FYI ) and not a negative comment towards property. when we booked we were informed well in advance about it so we got our things so we had no issue over this we were technically ok with this

This is pet friendly property you can get your pet along ❤️

there is a problem of electricity so the power kept fluctuating however there was no power cut luckily when we were staying but yes it keep fluctuating toooooo much so then AC kept going low and high on cooling

So the staff here are locals so they are not very professionals but then they are good in their own way, they try to serve you best they can . they accommodated our last minute requests for barbeque and also they infact discussed what we would like to have in breakfast or dinner which was really sweet at their part.

they have food options but that's more of buffet menu ( veg...non veg ) both is available , it's a per person costing type of deal

now to the ambience of property - this property is a bliss it's like a agro tourism setup..full of greenary and just at door of property is the lake where you can swim.. property provides lifejackets FOC offcourse .It is so peaceful and safe for solo travelers 😌 they have so much plantation inside property which is just mesmerizing

for water sports, you need to book it at wilderwest which is 10km frm this property you can get bumjee jumping , kayaking , river rafting and all water sports there

For barbecue it's a per person per plate costing you have to inform them during the day for them to prepare the stuff by evening

this property has no access to the market at touch so do get whatever you need along

The only negative thing which i felt needs to be corrected is the kitchen remains closed between 2 to 5 and then if you are a coffee addict you get stuck coz there is no in-room coffee maker so then you need to wait till they open the kitchen 😔

Rest bathroom has geyser , ceiling fan is not there..AC with table fans is provided inside room and blanket offcourse

inshort my stay was wonderful i am definitely coming here again i...

Our Experience - Highly Disappointing & a Complete Scam Misleading Photos & Marketing • We booked a 3BHK villa based on photos and videos shared by the resort team. However, the actual condition of the property is completely different. • The pictures are outdated and do not reflect the current, poorly maintained state of the villa. Non-Refundable Advance & Unclear Policies • We were asked to pay 50% in advance and the remaining amount upon arrival. • Once the payment was made, there was no option for refund or cancellation, even though the villa was nothing like promised. Unhygienic and Unsafe Conditions • The rooms were dirty, bedsheets were smelly and clearly not washed, and windows had no proper curtains & windows are damaged & open & not even able to close. • The swimming pool was in terrible condition — dirty, slippery, and appeared unused for months ( they ask swimming pool under maintenance after visited) • The entire property lacked cleanliness and basic hygiene. • Open electric wires, non-functional AC and geysers made the stay even more unsafe and uncomfortable. False Commitments on Amenities • They promised facilities like a speaker, Wi-Fi, and barbecue, but none were actually available. • We were constantly told the speaker was charging, only to be informed late at night that it was not working. • Wi-Fi was mentioned before booking; once payment was done, they asked its not working only jio will work but for this also you need to go outside the villa. Terrible Food Experience • The food was below average — lunch and dinner meals were the same .they provide us same food that not even tasty. • Promised items like barbecue were not served; instead, we were given leftover chicken with gravy removed and were told it’s “sukka chicken.” Poor Service & Communication • Staff were unresponsive and unhelpful. Every request (like for water bottles) required multiple follow-ups. • We had to go outside to find staff or make repeated calls, only to be ignored. • Once night falls, you’re stuck with no help and nowhere to go. Wildlife Inside the Villa • We encountered rats and lizards inside the rooms, making the stay highly uncomfortable and unsafe. Isolated Location with No Mobile Network • The villa is located in a area with no network coverage, and no other properties nearby. • If you’re dissatisfied with the villa, there’s no alternative — you’re completely stuck. Fake Positive Reviews • Most of the positive reviews on Google seem paid and misleading. • Please refer to the negative reviews for the actual condition of the property. Final Verdict: Do Not Book

• This resort is a complete scam, built on false promises and manipulated photos. • It is a waste of money, time, and energy. We have videos and proof of our experience. • Avoid booking...

Very Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Money We recently stayed here as a group of five and spent nearly ₹17,000 — and it felt like we paid just to get frustrated. Food: Extremely unprofessional. The menu shared before booking was completely different from what we were served. For dinner, they literally reused the afternoon food by just adding water — it was clearly noticeable. Starters that were promised were never served they simply served Chiken suka and for dinner they gave same chiken with gravy (Chiken Rassa), and there was no barbecue at all, even though it was part of the package. Rooms: Totally unhygienic and poorly maintained. The bedding was substandard, and worse — there were cockroaches, lizards, and even rats in the rooms and bathrooms. We even saw rats roaming freely near the beds. When we reported this to the housekeeping staff, he simply smiled and walked away. There was no proper door for the room, the flooring was dirty, and ants were crawling on the bed — we were literally woken up at 3 AM because of them. Everything was unprofessional and disgusting Other promised amenities were missing too: • No speakers • No Wi-Fi • No hot water • No proper water supply in washrooms Overall: This was a complete waste of money. The only and only positive thing is the view — the location is scenic and peaceful, but everything else was a huge letdown. Housekeeper tried to help us for getting network and proper food but he also seemed to be helpless Not recommended at all.

This place is for someone who is in love with nature and calmness. The waterfront resort is located in the interiors of Mulshi village. This is amazing place with scenic beauty around. They have wooden cottage (capacity of 2 people per cottage), Stone cottage ( 4 to 5 people can stay) and dormitory/villa types room with capacity of 14 to 15 people and can be increased with the requirement. Every cottage/villa has got attached bathroom And ac is provided. Food (veg/non veg) is good and can be arranged for medium or spicy as required. It's cold out here during winter . We visited in 2nd week of November, temperature ranges from 14 to 16 degree Celsius during early Morning and 18 to 20 degree Celsius at night. During day It's bit windy. Winter clothes are recommended . Best option to visit this place is via own vehicle. The road to resort is bad (quite rough and jumpy). If you are coming from Mumbai, one option is via lonavala (road is poor) and second via Tamhini ghat (this takes extra 70 to 8p km). We preferred via lonavala to and fro. Just have patience while driving on this road and drive safely. This rough patch is about 30 to 40 kms. Since this place is situated in interiors and in the middle of Mountains and jungle , the network is poor. The resort provides free wifi. You can check with them for connectivity. Keeping aside the road conditions and network issue.. this place is worth the efforts..! Cheers..You can relax for a while...!!

The drive here from Mumbai is great till lonavala’s tiger point… beyond that its is about 1-1.5 hours of patches of bad road though it is very scenic. Once u are at the resort… the manager there takes good care of you. This is a beautiful location. Absolutely worth the drive here. Overseeing the Mulshi lake… it gives a lovely sunset view and an amazingly starry sky! They have multiple packages u can book. Everything’s has all food included. They don’t keep and drinks so you should carry your own. They have a buffet lunch, dinner and breakfast with basic but very tasty food. They also have an unlimited supply of team and coffee. During high tea they served us onion bhajiyas! There is nothing around for a few kilometers so you should pack everything you need from lonavala. They have individual cottages for couples and a 3 bedroom Villa for a group of ppl. The villas are decorated very well and are clean. The bathrooms are decent. They have a barbecue at night and a bonfire that they can set up. We were there in February and the night got pretty chilly so the bonfire was amazing! You can walk down to the lake though short, it is a pretty steep trek. But would def recommend it for people who are up for the walk! The views are beautiful. They have tents as well and small spaces for playing sports. They also promote workcations and have wifi. All in all a good place. Cut off from civilization in a way. Good place to go over a weekend!
