Read moreNever do any donations to Iskcon ravet temple because I have observed that whoever books annadanam,Iskcon committee never do it properly, they do partiality when devotees come to get the prasadam, firstly they allow nearby residing devotees for prasadam, secondly they allow those devotees who have done some contribution/ donation on same day while visiting for darshan and if there are unknown devotees from far away who haven't done any donation then they behave badly and stop you from entering the prasadam hall. Also, they close the main gate before the prasadam is served so that they don't have to serve prasad to outsiders or in large numbers. Security guards are given strict instructions that no one should be allowed inside and the gate should be closed at 1pm. If you don't want to do annadanam properly then why do you accept donations for the same? What do you do with the donation money? I would like to advise those who are booking for annadanam, that person should come and see whether it is been properly done or not. Its my experience that whenever I have given donations they behave so sweetly and if not you can see their true colors. I am not against Lord krishna but I don't like the Iskcon committee people's selfish behavior. If you want money, then like other temples ( prati shirdi) keep paid coupons for prasadam that would be good. Just wanted to mention that Iskcon devotees/followers have faith in lord krishna but watch out for what these selfish committee people are doing. All your donations are being misused for some other purpose. Don't be blindfolded. Watch out their actions. They do not follow what they try to teach. Also they target well educated people so that they can get maximum donations. Poor and middle class are...
Read moreISKCON Ravet – A Unique Wooden Temple Experience
ISKCON Ravet is truly one of the most unique temples I’ve ever visited. What makes it stand out is its all-wooden architecture, which is rare to see in any ISKCON temple. From the intricate carvings on the altar to the beautiful wooden ceiling, every part of this temple feels like a work of art.
The first thing that struck me was how warm and inviting the place feels. The wooden interiors give the whole temple a very calming vibe, and the craftsmanship is just stunning. If you look up, you’ll see detailed paintings and carvings depicting Krishna’s pastimes, which add so much depth and beauty to the overall experience.
The deities, Sri Sri Radha Vrindavan Bihari, are absolutely mesmerizing. The altar they are seated on is beautifully designed, and the way they’re dressed and decorated is so elegant—it’s hard to take your eyes off them. During the kirtan, the sound of the maha-mantra echoing through the wooden hall creates an atmosphere that’s both peaceful and uplifting.
The temple exterior is just as impressive, with its traditional design and a statue of Lord Vishnu reclining on Ananta Shesha, which is perfect for photos and contemplation. The whole place is very clean and well-maintained, and it feels like a little oasis of serenity in the middle of the busy city.
If you’re in Pune or anywhere nearby, I highly recommend visiting ISKCON Ravet. Whether you’re looking to connect spiritually, enjoy some peaceful time, or just admire the unique wooden architecture, this place has something special to offer. It’s not just a temple—it’s an experience...
