┬а┬а┬аRead moreI landed up at the museum just by chance. I took the main road in Sasavane after strolling on the beach and landed up at the museum. The statues in the garden immediately attracted me and after looking at them i just had to ring the bell to enter the museum. I was warmly welcomed into the house where I saw the neatly kept sculptures by Nanasaheb Karmarkar . Each sculpture is a masterpiece. They are kept in such an organized fashion. The expression in the eyes of many of the sculptures are so realistic and lively. After I watched the museum I was warmly welcomed by the family Sunanda daughter in law and grandson Vikram for a chat and first hand look Into the great artists past. They shared with me a book on his past and a mini Biography. Made me feel at home. That was the highlight of the trip to Sasavane .
