Heaven during rainy season... This place can be explored by public transport as well but it will be too tiresome... . Options... A. Get down at Kalyan West railway station & catch any msrtc bus going to Junnar, Alephata etc... B. Direct vehicle Two wheeler or Four wheeler or TT ( as per count of people)

Near proximity to Mumbai & Thane Journey takes approx 4hrs from Mumbai - Thane Considering the rainy season roads up to malshej That is in good condition but after malshej road conditions up to few kms is pathetic Plan well, leave early and try to reach before 10:30am. This will ensure that you won't get Mumbai & thane traffic and Malshej ghat will be less crowded Carry some dry snacks Try to hire a vehicle or traveling by own car then try to have driver on rental basis. This will ensure that you enjoy the scenery & driver takes care of vehicle & parking There are specific spots & parking bays where you can park the vehicle & enjoy the waterfall. Such locations are when you are ascending the Ghat, in between the Ghat and even at the descent. Local police are cooperative and their expectations are simple - don't drink and drive, carry all the documents, don't park the vehicles anywhere and create congestion in the Ghat and there are specific landslide zones and parking is restricted so avoid parking there else a fine up to 15k can be imposed Carry 2-3 pairs of dry fit clothes and avoid consumption of alcohol in open places. There are number of places where you can plan your stay. Just Google it.. there are MTDC options as well but should be booked well in advance Food preparation around this region is very spicy hence plz tell your preference to the hotel guy in advance so that it can be cooked accordingly On the way to malshej there are many highway style dhabas / hotels. We stopped at Samadhan which was decent. Since we went to Junnar as well we had our meals in hotel Amantran & food was awesome. It was a great hospitality from...

Nestled amidst the Sahyadri mountain range, Malshej Ghat unfolds like a picturesque painting. The verdant valleys, adorned with cascading waterfalls, lush forests, and mist-kissed peaks, create a mesmerizing panorama that awakens a sense of wonder. The drive through the ghat is an adventure in itself, with serpentine roads that reveal breathtaking vistas at every turn.

The Pimpalgaon Joga Dam, a tranquil reservoir within Malshej Ghat, adds to the ethereal charm of the region. The sight of migratory flamingos during the monsoon season is a spectacle that left me in awe of the beauty and diversity of the natural world.

One of the highlights of my journey was the Harishchandragad Fort, an ancient marvel perched at an altitude of 4,671 feet. The trek to the fort was an exhilarating experience, rewarding me with panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and the Konkan Kadaโ€”a vertical cliff that stands as a testament to nature's artistry.

As I explored the ghat, the rich biodiversity became apparent, with sightings of exotic avian species and vibrant wildflowers that painted the landscape in hues of color. The refreshing air and soothing sounds of nature create an ambiance of tranquility that is a welcome escape from the city bustle.

Malshej Ghat's allure is not limited to its natural beauty. The local cuisine and hospitality provide a glimpse into the authentic Maharashtrian culture, offering a blend of flavors that tantalize the taste buds.

In conclusion, Malshej Ghat is a haven for nature enthusiasts, photographers, and anyone seeking solace in the lap of nature's magnificence. Its diverse landscapes, from misty valleys to rugged cliffs, create an enchanting tapestry that invites exploration and discovery. Visiting Malshej Ghat is not just a journeyโ€”it's an experience that rejuvenates the spirit and reminds us of the boundless wonders of the...

Malsajgarh very nice places to visit there are many water phones you will have a lot of fun, If you are going to the massage house, then you should eat or take food with you, then you will get Maggi to eat there, you will get tea, you will get biscuits and you will get Maggi and you will be distributed here. But if you don't get food, then if you are going there, then take food, guys, it will be good, and if you don't have space for food, then you can eat all these things there, One thing to be aware of is that whenever you leave the mall, if you are going there, wear full pants because mosquitoes are very dangerous, so if your feet are open from the bottom. If you have to, bite a lot of mosquitoes because this experience has happened to me, It is a very good place to visit but whenever you go there stay away from water and don't try to bathe because the water pressure is very high there. Don't do it at all and when you are walking up to see the Kalo Journa, don't book up to the top of the hill. We had heard a lot about Malshej Ghat from various sites, forums and folks around. So, we decided to go on a drive there. But, the experience was disappointing to say the least. The major factor being the road - from around 10 kilometres to Malshej Ghat, there is practically NO ROAD! Please see the photographs I have added in this review. Your car will suffer massively on this 10 km stretch - the car suspension and shock absorbers will take a huge hammering! Actually, potholes make up the road here. During this season, with the rains and no visibility from the view points, there is practically nothing to see here. The waterfalls is there but during heavy rains, it is not easily approachable. There is a very small car parking. That area too is littered with paper cups, plates, wafer packets etc. Requesting the folks visiting this place to please avoid littering. No one would like to visit a place littered with rubbish. You can see evidence of this in the photographs. Moreover, there are very limited options for food and snacks here. Overall, not my choice to go on a road trip.
