Monkey Point in Khandala is one of the most serene and underrated viewpoints in the Western Ghats. Nestled amidst lush greenery and towering cliffs, it offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Sahyadri mountain range, deep valleys, and winding roads below. As the name suggests, the area is frequented by playful monkeys, adding a charming and slightly mischievous touch to the experience.

Reaching Monkey Point involves a short trek or drive, depending on the route taken, and the journey itself is filled with the soothing sounds of nature and the scent of fresh mountain air. Once at the top, visitors are rewarded with a peaceful environment and a spectacular view that becomes especially mesmerizing during sunrise and sunset. The monsoon season, in particular, transforms the landscape into a verdant paradise, with waterfalls cascading down the cliffs and clouds floating below the viewpoint.

Though not as commercialized as other tourist spots in Khandala, Monkey Point’s untouched beauty makes it ideal for nature lovers, photographers, and those seeking solitude away from the crowd. It is advisable to be cautious of monkeys around food and to wear good footwear due to uneven paths.

Overall, Monkey Point is a hidden gem that captures the essence of Khandala’s natural beauty. Whether you’re on a weekend getaway or a scenic road trip through the Lonavala-Khandala stretch, this spot is well worth a visit for its peaceful ambiance, gorgeous vistas, and a perfect touch...

This view is beautiful. It is on the way to Mumbai-Pune express way. The garden is on top of the hill where u can take your vehicles. It is small not that big with full of monkeys. The view is wonderful . Can see some waterfalls during rainy season and it can be seen from a distance. It has restaurant around to get refreshed.

Scenic view gives an awesome experience There is no entry fees You can see beautiful hills & valley Toilets are chargeable There are many good stalls like Maggie, sweet corns, biscuits etc Best place for nature lovers Feels awesome & relaxed

Eating joints available at the location. Stuff being sold on trolleys such as fruits and corn are sold on 5-6 times the actual price. Better to go prepared with umbrella/raincoats as rains here are very unpredictable in monsoons. Must visit in case one...

A very beautiful view of the ghats of Khandala and Mumbai-Pune Expressway. There is a children park which has rarely anything to do with children. It is full of vendors. There are so many monkeys here. They don't harm and you can buy them peanuts or other eatables available with the vendors. Parents should be careful of their Child bcoz there are many risky corners where children can slip in and fall down. The fence and railings are broken and open in many places. A beautiful view is available of many famous celebrities and bungalows are available from here. You can see waterfalls from here during off season also. Only thing is that you should have a very good camera with you for better pictures.
