Visiting Rajmachi in the monsoon should be on the top of your list of your adventurous soul. Reaching there is half the fun. The off road trail from Della resorts approx 14 kms just gets better for offroading on an Xpulse 200. It's wet, slushy, slippery muddy, periodic Asalphated stretched which disappear at around 6 kms mark. You need to pay ₹50 for bike to the locals who state they're from forest dept but issue no proper ticket. No one you can complain to about it. And it's probably for ensuring the road stays a mud track all year long. 4 wheelers can be driven approx 9 kms inwards and later parked at the side of the road. You walk faster than the vehicles though. Other than this you encounter 4-5 water crossings, steep uphill climbs, numerous other challenging road conditions. However, even scooters can be ridden till the foothills of the fort. This is one of the fort built by our great Chattarapati Shivaji Maharaj. As a matter of fact, these are dual fort system. The initial part of the ascent is built but later you're on your own. You can consider this on a medium level of difficult during monsoon. Even kids can climb with adult supervision. On the top, the thrill and the adventure get a different meaning. The flowing saffron and the sense of hindavi swarajyas aroma can be felt. You can't decent without having goosebumps all over your body. Jai Shivaji

One of the best location for off-roading. Almost 17 km from lonawala city and around 12 km in complete off road we can say. Prifferable for night camping. There is a village in the entrance of rajmichi fort. You can find some restaurants.water resource is available in the starting point for night campers it will be helpful.Rajmichi forts splits to two. To the fort half way pavement is stoned and rest way you can enjoy the spirit of trucking. You can have wonderful sunrise on the fort. along with the fort you can see godhanewshwar temple and udhay sagar lake for reaching there turn should be taken in the entrance point. Near to the temple there are more view points. End of the rainy season is best time. 100cc bykes and cars are not prifferable due to road conditions. Rajmichi can be considered as a best spot for off-roading and trekking in Pune area.

About Rajmachi Fort Trek : Rajmachi is one of the famous trek destination in Sahyadri mountains and one of the favorite destination for every trekker and beginners. Fort stands at a height of 2750 feet overlooking the Bhorghat Pass (a major old trade route during Maratha empire). This fort built by Shivaji in 17th century. You can spend lots time over the fort by exploring twin forts “Manaranjan” & “Shrivardhan”. Visit Bhairavnath Temple, Mahadev Temple & Rajmachi lake. There are 2 routes to reach Rajmachi, first from Lonavala and other being Karjat route. We are going to cover both the routes, from Lonavala partly by jeep and then walk upto Udhewadi which is approximately 6 kms. Next day we shall descend through Karjat route and visit “Kondhane Caves” en-route to Kondivade village.

First I underestimated the Rajmachi trek to be esay and half n hour trek. But when we started trekking it took us around 2-3 hours to reach the top. We started our trek by taking a auto to the Kondana caves and then walking through the jungle trail before reaching to the actual Rajmachi trek. There is another route via Lonavla which will take you directly to the foot of the fort. But if you want enjoy the rajmachi trek, I would suggest you to take the jungle trail where during monsoons you'll have to cross various waterfall crossings. I would suggest you guys to visit Rajmachi fort during monsoons.

Rajmachi Point in Lonavala offers stunning panoramic vistas of the surrounding hills and valleys. The vantage point offers a mesmerizing view of the Rajmachi Fort and the lush greenery around. It's a popular spot for trekking enthusiasts, with picturesque trails leading up to the fort. The cool breeze and serene ambiance make it a perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature's beauty. However, the accessibility can be challenging, and the area may get crowded during peak seasons. Overall, Rajmachi Point is a must-visit for nature lovers and adventure seekers. #ScenicDelight #TrekkingFun

- It was my first formal trekking in Maharashtra, so it's always special. - Rajmachi mountains has 2 forts which is like awesome places I have never seen. - view from top of the fort is just mind-blowing, everywhere sorrunded by Sahyadri range green mountains. -Night stay is available in udhewadi village situated at the foothills of forts . - June to August is the best time to visit this place. - while trekking the mountains in the night you can get a glimpse of fire flies everywhere. - Totally it's an awesome experience.
