Alandi Sai Temple is constructed, maintained and run by Shri Sai Seva Pratishthan, Pune.
Shri Subhash Nelge – Chief Trustee, Shri Sai Seva Pratishthan – is the main moving force behind the construction of the Temple. Subhash Bhau, as he is fondly known, started his journey on Sai Path way back in 1987. Not content with his job, Subhash Bhau visited Shirdi in 1987 and then it became a regular routine for him. Leadership qualities are in-born in Subhash Bhau which he polished during his student days and later in his job as well. With Shri Sai Baba’s blessings and his own skill, experience and courage Subhash Bhau started his business and never looked back.
Success along with devotion to Shri Sainath Maharaj of Shirdi kept Subhash Bhau grounded. However, his Shirdi visits reduced and then stopped altogether. Feeling deprived of Shri Sai Baba’s holy Darshan, Subhash Bhau resolved to construct a Sai Temple in Pune. He bought the land where the Temple stands today. What was only a wish, became reality in 1998. Located at Wadmukhwadi on Pune-Alandi Road, the Temple is popularly known as Alandi Sai Temple.
The Sai Temple construction work started in 1996-97 was completed in 1998. On 4th June, 1998, the beautiful Alandi Sai Temple came into existence. The Pran Pratishtha was done by Subhash Bhau’s Guru Dhondi Baba of Kopargaon and Jagadguru of Kashi. Later, on Ashadhi Ekadashi in 2003 Mahapravesh Dwar and Kalash Sthapana was done by Shri Gagangiri Maharaj of Khopoli and Dr. C.B. Satpathy. Meticulous in every detail, the splendor of Alandi Sai Temple has great devotional appeal.
Our Inspiration Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy ji, fondly known as Guruji, is our Guide and Mentor in this holy venture. Dr. Satpathy is an ardent devotee of Shri Sainath Maharaj of Shirdi. Dr. Satpathy is a retired IPS officer and is a multi-faceted personality. A writer, poet, lyricist, music composer, philanthropist and a householder, Dr. Satpathy is a perfect example and role model for all Sai devotees.
Dr. Satpathy is instrumental in construction of Sai Temples across the globe. He has inspired and helped in construction of Sai Temples all...
