Teliya Talab — Attraction in Mandsaur

Taliya Talab, also called Teliya Tank, is a lake located in the centre of Mandsaur city.

It has a huge statue of Raja Yashodharman standing on one corner of the lake.

Anyone can come here at any time of the day, but morning and evening are very pleasant. If anyone likes a less crowded place and wants a beautiful view for photography, then early morning is the best time to come here; otherwise, visit this place in the evening, when you can enjoy the beautiful sunset and the calm atmosphere. You can also visit here for walks, yoga, or to feed fish in the lake.

The lake covers an area of about 15 acres. The lake is home to various species of birds, such as egrets, herons, cormorants, kingfishers, ducks, and geese. It is a popular picnic spot for the local citizens, especially during sunrise or sunset. The lake is also a good place for birding and enjoying nature.

It's easy to reach from any point in Mandsaur, depending on your preferred mode of transportation, like your own car or bike, or you can hire an autorickshaw to Teliya Talab. There is no entry fee for visiting Teliya Talab; there are some cafes and local food vendors near Teliya Talab that you can choose from, depending on your preferences.

It has improved a lot & covered a vast area including garden, kids play area, seats, bridge over lake, stunning Sunset☀️view & much more development in progress. Just one thing missing is BOATING 🚢 ⛵ which can draw more crowds not only from Mandsaur but even from nearby cities. Very well maintained & highly recommended.

Few suggestions to make it best:-

1. Proper Parking🅿️
2. Security Guards to monitor
3. Keep main gate open for easy movement of people, currently one has to enter & exit via narrow iron rods circular gates on the sides which is too congested for even one person at a time!!
4. If possible to re-name this garden/lake...

Undoubtedly one of the most peaceful & serene placed in Mandsaur. Especially early in the mornings and late evenings. Love the walkway constructed on the side of the lake. Nothing makes a better morning walk. Birds chirping on trees, busy squirrels running around the pathway, ducks & fishes in water, laughter club on the corner - there can't be a better start for the day.

Waterfall that spurts from the overflow point is certainly the most beautiful sight to hold during peak monsoons.

If you love nature, there can't be a reason to dislike this place. Go feel it...
