Scenic place with unimaginable construct. I have just decided when I went to yercaud and visited Mettur, you will find a first bridge where you will see some gates of the dam.. Going further this view point takes some 15 mins time. But worth the visit. There is an entry fee when you get here and you need to climb up for viewing both sides of dam. Well maintained surrounding. But why i gave 4 star is only because of this view point building. When I visited they took entry fee from me including the mobile phone. But me and my wife were left to climb on the stairs since the lift didn't work. I wouldn't have cared if I went free of cost. Mettur dam view point gives a panoramic view of the dam, the reservoir and the surrounding areas. The entry ticket for this view point is ₹5 per person. Parking is available on the road outside. The viewing tower in the premises is 5-6 stories high. It gives a good view of the dam. However, it is completely covered in glass and there is no ventilation in the tower.
