Mettur Dam Park — Attraction in Mettur

Park exactly located beside Mettur dam.

Complete big park on budget. Entry fee is 15 rupees for adults and 10 rupees for kids. Outside foods are allowed inside the park. Water facilities are more than enough because situated near the dam. Left end of the dam has aavin paalagan where you buy tea coffee padam drink. Right end of the dam near by kids play area have cool drink shop and they also have ice creams too. Since outside foods are allowed people who comes to park mostly or prepare the food in their home and eat at noon inside the park. And ground tiled big and small huts are very nice place to eat as families. Major food avail near the dam is fishes. Usually people's buy fish fries or dish gravey outside shop and take inside the dam to eat at noon. Tamilnadu hotel situated near the park has Chinese varities also we can buy and let them in to the park. Since park situated near the dam and climate is sunny hot must bring water from your home to stay hydrated. But also water bottles sold outside to the dam but little costly. So beware Even though have huts and free water for lunch inside the park place will little dirty so always brought a blanket where you can put and sit on it. And the park has deer park and crocodile park are must watch things. Snakes also there in cage. Kids play area is the favorite area for the kids where they have numeours see saw thoori, circle swinger etc are there. And since the park has numerous trees and plants looks pleasant and most the lovers also love this park too. Park is little huge so need to walk a lot so beware of it. The park is a paradise for families, featuring a large children's play area and various animal exhibits, including snakes in cages, birds, hamsters, and colorful fish. Do note that there is an extra charge to view the colorful fish. A canteen is also available on-site, offering a selection of decent food and snacks.

A strong plea to all visitors: please help keep the park clean. We noticed a significant amount of litter, including food leftovers and snack wrappers. It's our collective responsibility to preserve this beautiful space for future generations.

Overall, this is a nice, relaxing place. If you are lucky enough to visit on a less crowded day, the experience is even better. Super place, I love this park . So many times I spent time with all my family and friends circle. Very nice place. Low ticket price grand location for Salem and Mettur people's. I love Mettur fish , there is all time available fresh fish , so it will be good in taste. Mettur park muniyappan Swamy temple , it is a powerful god god , lot of times I will pray truly and required some grace. Shree muniyappan Swamy give my prayer requests sooner. So when I go that side any another works , I go for there and spend time . In my childhood to now it's a my favourite place , one of my favourite place. I like Mettur , cavery river watter ...
