Maninag temples of Ranpur in nayagarh district of odisha are present at a distance of 82 kms from the state capital bhubaneswar.
The thrills of bike ride through toghtghat roads to peak of the maninag hills, greeneries of the surrounding, fresh air and the scenic views are the major attractions here which is now attracting hundreds of tourists after new road construction.
Raja festival is major festival here when a mela is organized. Other near by attractions are Ranpur's jagganath temple, erst while king's palace, Asurakumari temple & falls, Tala maninag temple etc.
Though the roads are better now, i still find it tricky for big cars in some sections. Road is also getting washed up in patches. And don't forget to search by Upper Maninaga temple, other wise google map may lead you to other maninag...

Maa Maninaga is a fearsome incarnation of Goddesses Durga and is considered as a shakti Peeth.Temple surrounding is calm and quite, the temple is built at the peak which is about 2000 ft high from Lower Maninaga Temple. Since last 5 years tar roads have been built for smooth vehicular movement and for this mini vehicles are ferring visitors between Lower Maninaga temple to top Maninaga Temple. Charges for to and fro transportation is Rs. 120/ per head.The panoramic view of Ranpur town is beautiful from temple peak. The annual festival is on Meena Sankranti in March and is celebrated for two long weeks. Due to communication difficulties, a new temple is constructed at the base of the hill and the deity is worshipped here.Kalyan mandap is available for various functions.
