Nandankanan Zoo Aquarium — Attraction in Odisha

Winter is the best season to visit this zoo. The anti-polythene movement is especially impressive. Beware of monkeys snatching food if teased/prodded. The new decor and signs, the well maintained parks and enclosures present the animals well. They have safari bus as well as golf carts for the general areas ( if you don't fancy walking) the Reptile enclosure is a special attraction, so is the avian area. The zoo boasts of a productive tiger breeding program, white , royal Bengali and even weirdly patterned black tiger.

One can easily spend 3-4 hours in the zoo, even 5-6 if you opt for the safari.Be prepared with snacks. RO water is available free of cost inside. Entry is cheap, please take care that you don't litter, tease/try to...

Good place to hang out for 2- 3 hrs. Visiting in summer? Carry plenty of water / fruit juice as you will have to walk. Though local internal transport facility is available, but is not recommended as it will spoil your experience. Boating facility is available on payment basis in local pond. The area in polythene free, so you will have to surrender all polythene items at entry point. For e.g. if you have LAYS, you need to throw its cover and transfer the contents to available paper bags. Beautiful place full of natural beauty...the main attraction of this place is the tiger safari and lion safari and costs too low and gives the visitor's a wonderful experience and you can see the animals in a very closer distance... You can come with your family and friends.. boating is also available there... I just love the aquarium and birds section of the nandankanan zoological park... Communication is very well...you can get city buses from the railway station and cabs... 5 star rating is...
