POGO LAND - Amusement Park in Pondicherry — Attraction in Puducherry

We visited Pogoland as a group and while the company of friends made it enjoyable, the place itself was pathetic - please avoid at all costs!!!

For starters, a steep entry fee of Rs 500 sets your expectations a bit high but what awaits is you utter disappointment - listed this in points below:

Biggest shock was that the dry rides do not start until 2pm. And even when it was 2pm, we had to wait for the staff to come back from lunch break or wherever to come and start the rides. Not much to miss out on as there are possibly just 4-5 functional rides which even kids would think twice about sitting on. I also have high concerns about the safety as most of these rides looked old and non maintained. Water rides - only 4 odd water slides that seems to be their biggest attraction. On one of them, my friend and I were injured because of the design of the slide (narrow at corners). Biggest joke was the wavepool which was an insult to what wavepools should actually be and a bigger joke was that between the wavepool and the waterfall, only one can work at a time. Therefore, you have a staff ushering the crowd from one ride to the other every few minutes.

Pros: 1.Only one Water theme park near pondicherry. Easy to get by roads. 10 water games. Artificial Kutralam, artificial sea shore waves, water slides, water pool etc. also dry games available, . Spinner, kids trains, titanic , bunk jumb, dash cars. Rooms available at reasonable rate . Rooms are clean . And large. Staffs are customer friendly. They maintain pool water clear.

Cons: Very poor maintanence of water sliders. Many of visitors get mild injury. Including me. Tickets rates are not standard. Double the rate when season . Most of time FIRST AID KIT not available.

You can enjoy your weekend there. Take precautions, in water slidings.

I think people should carry first aid kit like band-aid, cotton, tincture with them when we go vacations to outdoor tourist places. Already most of people carrying their medicines all of time ( diabetes, BP tablets). We should learn to carry first aid kits. Thank you...

Very good Amusement park near Pondicherry. Awesome place to enjoy with kids and elder people. Mini kutralam, kutralam falls setup, wavy pool, water slides, rain dance, umbrella shower, bucket pouring water, giant bucket are really enjoyable. Land games like cup and saucer, horse ratnam, asura thalatu and lot more games. 3D theatres was awesome. But air pipe near feet is having more pressure and makes you to feel painful. Mirror gaze was thrilling and enjoyable one. Worth for money. Must place to visit near Pondicherry. Having locker for rent to safe your items. Limited availability of snacks. Few more paid games and fish spa is available. Its not crowded. So no wait time to enjoy your rides. Ladies changing room needs more doors. Guards in water are doing good job. 1st half is for water games and land games are starting Post lunch. Overall very good place to enjoy...
