Good palace to visit in kota, there is already limited places as tourist attraction & refreshment as well. kotah garh is one of them. i was in kotah just for 2 days so not much experience but as per my knowledge & experience i would say if you are going from railway station area to garh palace it will take around 80 rs. Although check with "jugnoo" mobile app for estimation, some times jugnoo may reject your booking request & you have to find auto by self so where this app will helpful for estimate rs. if you are alone then book "rapido" this is two wheeler service with very cheap rate. after reaching over there do not take any picture before purchasing ticket, they have separate ticket for taking photographs Rs.50 per device (mobile/dslr), except photograph ticket they have two different tickets, Ticket worth Rs.80 for just see museum area & 100Rs. for museum + palace. i am suggesting you that purchase 100rs.(+50rs. for photography) Ticket, just in 20rs. extra you will visit both places. Now let me explain about timing if you ask local public they say it will take just 20 minutes to visit entire palace with museum but they are wrong. i spent almost 3 hours over there then also i felt like it is not sufficient, if you are interested in photography, history , heritage then you need more time otherwise it will take around 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete entire tour. Be aware they are very punctual about timings so they close palace and museum exact at 5 p.m! There is little shop in palace for some showpiece, home decoration things, miniature...
