This lake is a large panoramic water bowl surrounded by the Aravalli hills. Made in memory of his wife by King Vinay Singh, it stores the water trickling down as small rivulets from the hills around. An ingeniously constructed dam wall allows the water to get stored in the depression. It is a scenic lake with excellent views from all around. The lake was water filled in the peak summer that shows that it gets deeper during monsoon season. The road to Silised is alright, though under construction at certain places. Drive carefully and slowly, keeping a look at monkeys and langoors around. An entry fee of INR 100/- is levied that includes either a free water bottle/cold drink/coffee in the hill top restaurant of the tourism department. ⛵Boating in the lake is a tad expensive with speed boat and motor boat charges at INR 1800 and 1200 respectively for a fifteen minutes ride. But it is a must as it offers the bird's eye view of the lake from all sides. Overall, an excellent spot to relax and rejuvenate where even longer stays...

Besides, just a few kilometres from the lake lies a village and some waterfalls that can also be visited by tourists. Siliserh Lake is located just 170 km from Delhi and can be the perfect weekend getaway during the monsoon season when the water level is high and the surrounding...
