The Rose Garden in Solophok, Namchi, is a place many tourists tend to miss, but it truly deserves a spot on your travel list—especially if you're planning a visit to Siddheswar Dham. Located conveniently along the route to the Dham, the garden offers a quiet and colorful retreat. It’s best to visit the garden in the afternoon or early evening before heading up for darshan, as it usually closes by the time people return from the temple, especially during winters when it gets dark early. The entry ticket is ₹50 per person, which is very reasonable considering what you get to witness inside. The garden is home to over 50 beautiful and bold varieties of roses—from the regular red and pink to some rare and stunning ones like yellow, violet, and even black roses. It’s honestly surprising and delightful to see black and violet roses up close—they’re not something you come across every day. Apart from roses, you’ll also spot other flowers like marigolds, dahlias, chrysanthemums, and even a small section with a licorice plant. It’s a dream for plant lovers and nature photographers. One of the best parts of the garden is how thoughtfully it's laid out. Benches are placed throughout the park, and some are in the perfect spots to sit and relax while enjoying the view of the misty Himalayan mountains stretching out in the distance. The cool breeze that blows through the garden makes it feel calm and refreshing, especially in the evenings. Whether you're a tourist or a local just looking to unwind, the peaceful vibe here really helps you disconnect from the noise and stress. At the entrance of the garden, there’s also a small café and garden restaurant where you can grab a cup of hot tea or coffee and enjoy some light snacks. Although I didn’t eat there personally, it looked like a neat and cozy spot to sit and enjoy the view. For plant lovers, the garden also has its own nursery with potted plants available for sale. From common decorative plants to more exotic species, they are well-labeled and priced reasonably. It’s a great place if you wish to take back a green souvenir from Namchi. The garden is very well maintained, and it's clear that care is taken to keep it clean and beautiful. Staff members patrol the area to ensure visitors respect the rules, especially the one about not plucking flowers—which is strictly prohibited. That said, it’s a joy to walk the pathways lined with floral beds and motivational quotes, all while being surrounded by the sounds and sights of nature. All in all, the Rose Garden at Solophok is a peaceful and colorful retreat that gives you a break from the usual sightseeing. It’s a must-visit for those who love nature, flowers, or simply want to relax in a beautiful setting.

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Rose Garden’s restaurant. While the view from the restaurant is stunning and their momos are delicious, the service and food quality were subpar. The major issue was finding a hair stuck in one of our dishes! To make matters worse, neither the staff nor the management apologised or offered to replace the dish or provide a complimentary item. It was as if they didn't care about the issue at all. But what really took the cake was when they took a tip from my change without my permission after I paid the bill! This was unacceptable and left a sour taste in my mouth. The only reasons I'm giving them 3 tars are the beautiful view and the tasty momos. However, the poor service, lack of quality control, and dishonest staff behaviour are major turn-offs.

Great hospitality with impressive view of the town! Impeccable landscape with varieties of flowers, nearly 100 plus species of roses overwhelming aura being around many unique flower's! A must visit destination while in town. A heaven for coffee lover's & foodies plus great bar they have with, world class bartender to cater your need's! You feel like your are in a nice town in Swiss alpes, in a classy restaurant, word's can't fit to describe the beauty! Worth every penny you shower, but it's just drizzles on your wallet. The best part Economic yet, with Immaculate Sikkimese Elegance Extravagant Culture! but as Simple Subtle Soulful Humble Soul of Sikkimese People it's Soil. Pure majestic serenity at it's best hour..

ROSE GARDEN – NAMCHI Visited this most beautiful RoseGarden on 15th May 2022. Located on the hills, on the way to Chardham temples this is a must visit place, may be multiple times in Namchi. ( I read one review saying there is nothing much to see and it reminded me a saying that Beauty lies in the eyes of the Beholder! 😊

There are 400 hundred different varieties of Roses and another 175 varieties of other beautiful flowers imported from all over the world so total about 600 different varieties of lovely flowers of the world available to see n enjoy at one single place . There are unique plants, trees and great varieties of Roses and other flowers brought from Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Netherlands and many other countries. There was a plant, cost of which was Rs. 5,00,000 – yes Rupees Five Lakh and beauty of this plant was it changes its colour as per season!

Normally, if you take a private taxi for local sightseeing in Namchi, he would charge Rs 2500 or 3000 (One has to bargain) and he would show you 7 places in about 3 hours but I spent 3 hours only in my first visit to this beautiful Garden and then I visited multiple times and during one of my visits I happen to meet young, dynamic and smartly dressed manager of the Garden to whom I heartily complimented and profoundly appreciated the lovely garden, its excellent maintenance, cleanliness and its heavenly ambience. He was so happy to hear my appreciation that he took me around the garden and he proudly gave me all the above information about this garden like a proud father speaks about his daughter or son! Garden is located on hills with various levels. There are small water ponds, there are Photo shoot points, there are relaxation points including one beautiful hut type small cafe where you can refresh and one huge 3 levels multi cuisine Restaurant which serves freshly cooked, very delicious Veg and Non Veg food at moderate prices. Has good  stock of beers, wines and alcohol n good Whisky peg ( 30ml) costs just Rs 90 and high end Scotch about Rs 180!

I have seen many gardens in India, Switzerland and other European countries, USA, Canada, Far East countries and this one is comparable to best in the world! A MUST VISIT PLACE!
