A Must-Visit in Pelling: Sidkeong Tulku Bird Park Sidkeong Tulku Bird Park is an absolute recommended visit in Pelling! This beautifully maintained bird park offers a truly unique experience compared to other attractions in the area. The large mesh aviary allows visitors to get wonderfully close to the birds, providing a memorable opportunity to appreciate their vibrant colors up close. Beyond the aviary, the grounds themselves are stunning, making it a peaceful and enjoyable place for a leisurely walk. The park is named after Sidkeong Tulku, the 10th Chogyal of Sikkim, and provides a vital refuge for both migratory and permanent bird species in Sikkim, India. The facilities are excellent, with elevated walkways and bridges offering superb views of the park and even leading directly into bird enclosures. Additionally, the historical Rabdentse ruins are also located here, adding another layer of interest to your visit. I'd highly recommend this to anyone visiting Pelling—I would definitely come back again!

What a beautiful bird park!!! Strongly recommend this place. This park is located inside the Rabdentse ruins area. Once you enter the place, there's a separate trek leading to the bird park. There are lots of beautiful birds here viz. multiple varieties of parrots, parakeets, macaws, pheasants etc. The best part is, we as tourists enter a cage which is filled with birds. These birds are all flying above us, chirping on a table top nearby, or eating something at a hand's distance. It's really a mesmerizing experience to observe such beautiful creatures at such a close distance. Do check the videos to understand how beautiful the birds are. There's a cafe inside and that's the only place for food. The food is really bad here and I would suggest bringing your own packed food. Review based on visit in May 2023. There's a separate review given for the Rabdentse Ruins. Search Rabdentse Ruins on Maps.
