Had a OK OK experience only and that of great compared to others in the same region. Although the falls may not be as big as some of the others in this region, but the journey to get there was worth it. The road leading up to the falls was absolutely breathtaking, with beautiful scenery and plenty of photo opportunities. It's a very small falls so space in falls are also less. On crowded days it won't be a good idea to visit. As you will be squeezed by the crowd and won't be a good experience. One word of caution - be mindful of the monkeys in the area. They can be quite sneaky and may try to steal your food if you're not careful. Other than that, the visit was fantastic and I highly recommend checking out Agathiyar Falls during weekdays or non holidays. Also there were Montior Lizard out in the wild and we were able to see one.!!! Pros: ~ Seperate space for men and women in falls. ~ Ample amount space for Car parking available. ~ Toilets available ~ Family Park before entering into falls with free swing ~ Shops with bath suit, towels and accessories available but pricey Cons: ~ Need little more work on maintenance ~ No proper dress change rooms ~ No waiting rooms

One have to pass the check post before getting into the forest area. They check your vehicle and register your vehicle number. They charge for both vehicle and people in there. It is about 1.5kms of ride in the hills before reaching the falls. There is a huge parking space there too. There are a lot of monkeys on that area. They have seperate area for men and women in the falls. Unfortunately there is no changing place. A little before the falls, you can see some steps leading into the woods. They lead to Kalyana Theertham, a breath taking place. Full of rocks and a temple dedicated to Kodilingeswarar. It is said that, Lord Shiva along with his wife Parvati showed up in their married attire for Agasthiyar to see. Dont missout the place if you go to Agasthiyar falls

A small falls near Papanasam under the KMTR forest division. Water flows throughout the year is the speciality here. No one should be allowed here on the animal census period. Route : After crossing the check-post, get tickets from the reception office and travel 1.3 kms in Karaiyar dam main road. Then take the left side falls entry road to reach the falls. Keep your tickets safe, tickets are must in the falls entry. From the car parking (free), the falls is at walkable distance. The falls road is very very worst. Timing : Check-post opening time is 8 am to 3 pm. Entry fee : Rs.30/- per person & Rs.50/- for car. Facilities : 1) Separate area for Gents & Ladies to bath. 2) Dressing room for ladies. 3) Toilet facility for both. 4) Snacks shop & small hotel.
