Kalyana Theertham — Attraction in Tamil Nadu

Agathiyar Kalyana Theertham is located at Kottandalam on Papanasam Hill in Tirunelveli District. And this the place where lord Siva and Parvati showed their marriage ceremony to Agasthiyar and his wife lobamuthirai who flowing as thamirabarani river. It is believed that by worshipping in this place as soon marriage will happen for them. But due to this corona pandemic situations no pilgrims have been allowed in from past year 2020. The temple has been destroyed for the past one year without even a trace. Forest officials say the temple has been affected by heavy rains. But only the Lord knows what really happened. Hearing this news, we ask the people of the area and the Hindu religious organization and government officials to do the plowing work. And save the very ancient religious temple.

A wonderful spot. Definitely it's a holy place, but an awesome experience of nature for all tourists. The gigantic rock 🪨 formations and the surrounding noise of the waterfall are really amazing👌

Steps are provided to this place from the Agasthyar waterfall. About 15-20 minutes walk from the bottom. This place was not crowded when we visited.

It is a calm and beautiful place for meditation👍. A must watch location for all those who visit...

Amazing place and scenery. This place is really a visual retreat and more over the place of temple was really a architecture marvel . The temple is perfectly blend with nature and surroundings. We need to walk around 1/2 KM from the downside to reach Kalyana theertham. Best place to have meditation and it’s not advisable to bath because the depth of small reservoir and for your safety . Don’t ever miss it if you are visiting...
