Muttom Beach is a hidden gem along the coastline of Kerala, India, and it is a destination that invites you to discover the beauty of untouched nature in all its glory.

The most striking feature of Muttom Beach is its unspoiled natural charm. The golden sands here stretch far and wide, creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere. The beach is surrounded by a lush green landscape, with coconut palms swaying gently in the breeze. This pristine and relatively untouched environment is a haven for nature enthusiasts and those seeking solitude.

Muttom beach is hidden gem of kanykumari district. I would say it is the only beach with so many rocks on the shore. Its on the main road and the view is breathtaking. The light house which is about 200m from the beach is 135 years old and still functioning. It is one of the oldest light houses in tamilnadu. The best thing to do is have some time in the beach and come to the light house for sunset. The light house premises has a museum , mini cafe , play area for kids and benches around to sit and enjoy the view. The visiting hours for the light house is from 4.30 to 7.Tickets required for entry which costs very less. Between 5.30 to 6.30 is a very good time visit the light house to experience the view and the sunset. The museum explains about the origin or lighthouse and the equipment used in olden days to function the light house and few models of very famous lighthouses across the world. the mini video hall in the museum has video of 8 min which is very informative. You can easily reach via town bus to this place. The light house is right in front of muttom bus stop.

A great beach to visit! Only an hour’s drive from Kanyakumari, Muttom Beach offers a truly calming and relaxing experience. The beach is incredibly clean, with clear water and, surprisingly, very few visitors—actually, there was no crowd at all when I visited. It's the perfect spot if you're looking for some peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle. The best time to visit is during the evening, preferably at sunset, when the sky paints a beautiful picture over the ocean. However, I wouldn’t recommend visiting between 10 AM to 2 PM as it gets extremely hot during that time. Overall, a hidden gem that's well worth the visit!

It’s one of Beautiful beach near Kanyakumari. The water is clean . Waves are awesome. The rocks in that bridges the shore and sea is marvellous. An ideal time to visit this place is sunrise or sunset. The Tamil Nadu tourism department has taken much effort in maintaining the place. There is a separate place for changing the dress (both for men and women ). There is also a warning board, which is kept by the local police ; saying not to enter the sea. People around the place also said some mishaps had happened previously for this signboard. Hence we may enjoy at a distance.
