Abode of devi maa parvati. The goddess is pachayamman and lord shiva as mannatheeswarar. The temple in congested kulakkarai road, in tirumullaivoyal between Ambattur and avadi. Goddess is encircled by so many deputies like, ayyanar alias muneeswarar sarabeswarar hanuman kartikeya ganesha daksinamurthi etc. Massive muniswarar idol is so majestic and fearful at times. All sculptures painted and maintained in divine manner. Goddess facing east, is in green colour signifying harnessing good always to universe. All rituals festivals are followed scrupulously. No animal offering usually. During important days like Fridays Tuesday other significant days overwhelming crowds. They boil rice in earthen pots in adjoining open space and offer to devi. The atmosphere here is filled with sacred prayers. Big peepul tree also worshipped for issues. On Friday and sunday a priest overwhelmed by Gods obsession forecasts future or remedy for suffering people. Vast open space used for cooking food. An outlet for levy of fees, tickets offering etc available. Cars scooter parking there. An obsolete pond but with full water and lotuses opposite to temple is attractive.Lot of shops in vicinity sell pooja ritual materials. During monsoon entire locality would be like slush and people must be careful.Holy mindset make your trip more auspicious and satisfying....

Pachaiamman Temple at Thirumullaivoyal is located at the northeast of Arunachala hill, it has the best ambiance of all Amman temples. This temple is built amidst a lush forest area with many water bodies running nearby. This temple not only serves as a religious spot but, also a place of tranquility and serenity.

About 120 years back, this temple was built and recently it is modified. The outer premise of the temple is adorned with 14 statues of guardian angles, even the animals which had helped Goddess Pachai Amman were revered in this temple. There are effigies of an elephant, five horses, and a dog. It is a wide belief that even today, these animals are the watching guardians of Pachai Amman. The temple’s fame reached all over Tamilnadu, after the visit of Sri Ramana Maharishi. He is a very prominent and peerless saint of Tamilnadu, he and his followers, stayed many days at this temple and people say that he comes often to this place, for taking an oil bath in the water tanks near the temple. As this temple is located amidst the dense forest, many Rishis, saints, gurus, and religious persons come to this temple to do penance and gain enlightenment. The water bodies near this temple are believed to have many medicinal powers and can relieve any kind of body...

Pachai Amman temple is located at Thirumullaivoyal, Chennai, Powerful deity and divine 🙏🙏🙏 Gautama Maha Rishi performed a Yaga, to invite Goddess Shakthi, for this he had created a holy seat (prana sala), with Durbar grass—a yellow-green grass used for auspicious poojas. When Goddess Shakti sat on this holy seat, the yellow grass transformed into lush green color. And thus the Goddess was named as Pachai Amman. Yet another story states that, while the pursuit of Goddess Parvathi for enlightenment, she used to take rest on the deep green banana leaves and was fond of greeneries, so she was named as Pachai Amman. During Shri Ramana Maharishi’s stay at Pachai Amman temple, he gave the reason for Goddess’s name. According to him, when the Goddess Parvathi did austerities at Gauthamashram, her body color changed to emerald green due to the power emitted during her penance, and after this, she went around the hill performing austerities at many places and finally confluence with Lord Shiva. Ergo, she got the name Pachai Amman Temple is not maintained properly older people should be careful water is in floor not even cleaned

Pachaiamman Temple in Thirumullaivoyal is truly a gem, carrying the charm of decades of history and devotion. The moment you step inside, you can feel the powerful spiritual energy and the deep-rooted traditions that have been preserved here. The deity Pachaiamman radiates a divine presence, offering a sense of peace and protection to every devotee who visits. The temple architecture, though simple, speaks of an era where devotion mattered more than grandeur, and that authenticity shines through even today. It’s a wonderful place to experience a slice of Chennai’s religious and cultural heritage. That said, the temple could definitely benefit from better maintenance and cleanliness, especially considering its significance to so many devotees. With a little more care, Pachaiamman Temple could become even more welcoming and continue inspiring generations to come. A must-visit for anyone seeking blessings and a quiet moment of connection with the divine.

In Pachaiamman temple entrance there is our family God Muniswaran. Who we think as our ancestors sitting in gigantic form and saving us and our childrens from all negativity. By watching this gigantic statue of muniswaran with broad shoulders and wide open eyes, we feel speechless at first and fearless and can handle any kind of situation in our life at the end. My grandfather used to say at least once in a year you should visit our ancestors so that all positive things will happen. I never believed in my childhood, but now I believe. Also I am not visiting once in a year whenever I feel low and things are not going as expected, I will keep every work aside and go visit our ancestors. Which makes my mind peaceful and get some courage to handle the worst situations too.
